How is it working this summer? I tempted to buy one but wasn’t impressed with the drop from 82 to 77. We don’t have humidity in So Cal so I’m wondering if this would be worthwhile. We get 90-100 degree days. Thanks for the review!
Bass Cat has the best built boat but it’s crazy they won’t do a traditional deck layout up front. They just have to be different. I would love to see them reduce the back deck by a few inches and make room for the net behind the seat and maybe add a little more leg room too.
Why would you buy a portable ac? Looks like your garage would be better suited for a different set up. Walls enclosed,looks like you obviously spend time in there and have $$$ invested. Makes little sense why you would go thru this with a portable ac unit!

2 years later and this is still a problem.... wow. This issue just happened to me on the second day of running a brand new Ultrex Quest. Long story short, almost thru me out of the boat. Spend 4k on a TM and that can't fix a simple design flaw after years of a "Know" issue. Their support said the is no premiant fix and didn't care it almost thru me out of the boat.
I would not happy if I had to do that on my brand new $100k boat! Your dealer did a Mickey Mouse job too. Did BCB give you that jig or make you pay for it? I know those slam locks are Rick's pride and joy, but not so sure I'm sold on them.
I 100% agree with you. I've always had issues with Bass Cats odd shaped storage lockers. Why they don't use a traditional storage locker lay out I'll never know???. Especially when all tackle boxes are rectangular. It was the main reason I sold my Lynx and bought my Ranger. Overall the Ranger was just more fisherman friendly. Otherwise I was really impressed with the Cat. It was built like a tank.
Leo I agree 100% I was at my friends home on Grand Lake while fishing MLF Toyota Series. He has a couple of Rangers in his garage. The storage layout is amazing compared to the Bass Cat. I love my Puma STS. However, the storage compartments need a re-design.
The thing is though that the puma has the net storage, the cougar does not. That’s why the puma will likely always have the net storage. Also that box is a better fit for soft plastics. That’s why they didn’t put any tackle box trays in there like they do the front 2 smaller compartments. I wouldn’t run soft plastics personally in the drivers rod box. I would run the remaining tackle boxes that didn’t fit elsewhere and run soft plastics / bag storage in the back and in that big compartment for weight center of mass or to the rear. But just imo. Nice boat tight lines
Yep, the soft plastics you see on the driver's side, is a major weigh problem and actually effects overall top end speed. Those Pumas really do not perform well with weight in the front. Placing plastics in that main compartment would be a disaster. It is very deep. Placing plastics on top of each other would be an organizational nightmare. But I like your thinking here. I will be moving things around a bit. I have way too much plastics. Thanks for the tip.

Awesome setup. What do you do when your fluid bed volcanoes and it boil properly? I have this issue on some colors(not all of them) but idk what to do to fix the issue.
