Remember This? is a retro pop culture variety/talk show that loves to reminisce. It is a time machine to the days of our youth. It is also for today's generation, to see how your parents lived. Plus a platform to share hope and faith in the Lord.
I wish I still had the emails and phone calls I made with Bill back in the late 2000's. I spoke with Bill about once a week for over a year and asked if I could record our phone calls while I listened to him speak about my all-time favorite comedian. A couple of times we made each other cry talking about Sam and when I talked about my older brother. Sadly, I lost the recordings when I moved in with my now ex-wife. We thought we had moved the boxes from the house I was living in to the moving truck then into the apartment. But sadly I know we left it in the moving truck. By the time we had realized it, the company had already thrown it away.
My first time seeing this, it's 2014, just before ww3 begins. The Honeymooners should have never done this, they were not made to look old like this. Gleason didn't know when to quit. He even tried to do some of his old characters in Smokey and The Bandit 2. It was horrible.
I watched this on TV a long time ago as a child, and for several years after I somehow remembered it as being a Stanley Baxter sketch. Strange how memory can play tricks like that.
An original comedy of foolishness and misunderstanding. Now I know why JG wasn't interested in the following eras of sitcoms. That was the dominant format. He must have seen it as cheaply derivative.
Very powerful. Thank you. I find it very shameful anyone would lie about Sam's death and his last moments. I trust Bill Kinison's version 100%. God bless Bill. RIP Sam.
Denise you are such a great interviewer! Susan was a delight to listen to! Thank you for streaming this made my day! I loved the Brady Bunch growing up! God Bless You My Friend!❤
I think the main reason these types of B&W reunion shows of the 50's & 60's failed to entertain such as the Honeymooners & the Munsters was they were shot in Color which diminished their nostalgic value... 🧐
