Getting a 6% cut is the problem here. For example, realtor commissions in countries like Singapore are 1-2%, not 5-6%. Sellers add this 6% to the selling price and the buyer basically pays the premium. The real winners were the realtors and hopefully, things will change.
@@armanisells really? most ppl dont want to relax? or have a nice kitchen? i guess ive been selling ppl stuff for the last 25 years as a fluke out here acting like ppl have more commonalities than differences silly me
@@kieleleron85768 not every buyer cares about a soaker tub, which is what was mentioned in the video. Not every buyer cares about a nice kitchen because they don't all like to cook. The bottom line is that this video is meant to be entertaining but you are getting super technical with it & for some reason we are literally debating nothing. Have a great day & good luck in your life.
I Visited your RU-vid channel and noticed it ranks lower than others. SEO seems to be lacking, though your content is fantastic. Wondering why your videos aren't attracting more views? One key factor is insufficient SEO (your videos' SEO score is 00/100%, that's why your video is not reaching out to the people and you do not have many subscribers, views, likes, watch time, and comments. I also noticed that your video thumbnail was very poor. If you'd like, I can assist you with improving it. I think your RU-vid channel will make your dream come true. I am waiting for your response.
They're leaving fingerprints on every house they show, so they have a cover story when a forensic team finds their fingerprints at a crime scene at a house they previously showed!
I dont know for sure but my opinion is cuz they might be trying to check for dirt or cracks/breaks in the finishings before they sell it? This is just what i think im not a realtor so idk but thats just what i think may be the reason?
I wonder how the buyers react to this houses with laneway houses... To me it should reduce a lot the detached house value... Do you have any data how it went when they tried to sell it?
Realistically, the majority of people building these homes if they were to try to sell that home right away I don’t think they would get their money back however, overtime I am positive that they will on top of the fact that most of these people are either renting these spaces out or using them or purpose, so they’re not really thinking of the resale value.
I am not interested in being blocked out of a wildly unaffordable market for ten years and then offered the ‘opportunity’ to be in debt for even longer. Fuck Canada.
The difference in the payment would be not a lot of money. Also the home buyer would probably be pushed into the most expensive house that they could afford by the realtor as he/she wants to make as much money from the sale as they can and that leaves them in trouble anyways as property taxes, car loans, insurances, and heating bills are not calculated into this. Also it would leave them with a mortgage until they are just about retired. Which is not great!
@@armanisells and by the way, I am not saying the individual realtors are at fault, it's the way that the industry has been designed. You are forced to work with a realtor - that is what I am referring to. People should be able to list their homes without a realtor. IMO there is zero need for a realtor. I've worked with many, and can honestly say that 99% are crooks. You force a commission and it's pure theft IMO. It's sad people put up with this bullcrap this day and age.
@@dannyarias8786 you have been very misinformed because you can list your property on MLS without a realtor. The fact that you don’t know that shows that you don’t even know the industry that you claim to understand since you say that 99% of realtors are crooks. I do feel there are a lot of realtors that do offer zero value & Those are the ones that make the industry look bad however, there are a lot of great professionals out there. Perhaps somebody like you does not need a realtor however, there are other people that do not have the knowledge or time and prefer to use one. to each its own but to label an entire industry without actually knowing it is pretty ignorant in my opinion.
@@armanisells not misinformed - I know you can list it without a realtor, but go try doing that in the US. All the realtors will pass over your listing - even if listed at a better price. I would wager that 99% of people do not need a realtor, the reason realtors are needed is because the mislead to believe you need one to list the property and again, if you decide to not use a realtor to list your home, chances are the realtors will not bring anyone to look at your property. I don't know what you think but when your job is to represent the buyer (i.e. get the best house for the price), that should be a crime. And this happens every single day in our market. Also try polling people and asking them about their experience when buying / selling a property - I bet 99% feel unhappy and cheated?
@@dannyarias8786false. I get constant 5/5 reviews. Just even helped a for sale by owner that could not get his property sold then I got him another 40K so again do you. No one forces you to use one.
What is the realtor in the USA/Canada responsible for? I don't understand the need for one if the burden of legal check of all of the documents (for example, potential claims by potential relatives after the owner's death) is not on them. Listings are there for everyone to see (I know that the whole history of selling properties and paying taxes is available against payment at the moment - it can be changed), physical keys can be turned into a code, neighborhood info/school district info is readily available. Who needs an extra intermediary?
Things in canada vs US are very different. There are several platforms in Canada to sell your own home however those listings usually don't do well. Its not just about posting an ad as you would a pair of shoes & having a lawyer close the transaction.
@@armanisells Seems convenient for you. Not only taking money from customers and owners, but also the money from anyone who dares to enter and try to make a living 😂
@@adriancobaschi8510 when you see the insane amount of major mistakes that new realtors make hindering someone’s life financially then you will understand what I’m talking about. This is meant to protect the consumer more than anything so they do not get subpar service. Not sure why you were thinking. I meant this to benefit myself.
Do what Florida just did. Audit all government officials. They are quitting en masse so they dont have to fill out the form on thier financials. This proves how it's just corruption. Dude in the video calls it "mismanagement", what a clown.
People want the Toronto lifestyle, but don’t want to pay for it. They can afford millions for housing but resent taxes. Chow isn’t responsible for the deficit.
Very strange it’s this loud because when I added it in it’s only at 1% volume! Shouldn’t have been this loud. But the content is what matters in the end. Hope you found it useful!

I chatted yesterday with a new bank teller in my bank in central Alberta that came from downtown Toronto. After dealing with a bit of culture shock she is very happy to have moved out of the GTA.
Just experienced, a 34 percent increase in my little northern eastern Ontario town, un reasonable, all government should be limited to increases, and try more to reduce costs ,
A message to all mayors stop spending more the you can bring in. So many of canada mayors rake up big debt the leave office with no consequences. This should be criminal.
