In other words the drill stays in the van and the picks are nearly worn out.
Hi. With so many different types and 3rd party copies, how can you identify the make of lock and therefore the tool needed just by looking through the keyhole? Always wanted to learn how to do
@@locklab101 it really does. My first option was always to get the drill out even on right hand mounted locks but thanks to you, decode and pick fairly easily. Although I find Yales and Unions easier than ERA's.
Top work Brian. I had 4 ABS Ultimate cylinders to open and change today. 1 of them customer (or site manager) had already started to drill before they called me. I have the MK1 version of the tool with the separate magnets. Got 2 open and changed fairly quickly. Magiburred (with huge resistance and difficulty) the already drilled cylinder and changed, then the 4th was a double throw lock (which I didn’t know at the time) Managed to pick it, then realised it was a double throw, and then managed to snap the picking blade 😣 Just ordered the MK2 version so I can pop back next week to finish of cylinder #4 Great video explanation. This MK2 version looks much easier to use than the MK1 😊
Bim! Bam! Bosh! And it's open. 3*Q 😂😂😂 Of got 3*Q locks (dimple) on my front door and back patio doors. My front door has a button on the thumbturn, what's it for?
Hi Roy, it’s an interesting lock this one. I’m going to blag his lock and do an in-depth dive as the key control pins are not passive and almost act as trap pins! The button is so you can open the lock from the inside after the front has been snapped off during an attack - it goes into lock down and the button releases this to allow you to open the door. It acts directly on elements that reposition the cam. Hope all is well. 😀
