It is definitely not an independent curriculum. But it's pretty open and go. I cut out all the activities for the year so I don't have to do them the day of
My 2nd grader and I just finished the one and only Ivan and we loved it. I cried multiple times lol. It’s a little heavier but we want to read the other books in the series.
I've heard it's fantastic. I always struggle with what to give them for independent reading and what to have as a read aloud because I wanna read them all too. Haha
We used some of the same curriculums this year as ya'll. We did Notrgrass World History and TGATB High School 1. With Notrgrass it helped tremendously to print out the schedule for the year. The link was in in the How to Teach part of the first book. We were able to decide when we wanted to do a project and when we needed to skip it. I also discovered how much more we like the writing instruction with IEW. For the literature we would pick a book from one curriculum or the other. Sometimes we would watch the movie of a book on Prime. Shormann is hard! We are going to try Dennison or Learn Math Fast next year.
Dennison math seems like a good option. Unfortunately the price point and not having a sibling discount like Shormann puts it outside of our budget. ☹️
This was great. I’m always looking for inspiration juggling our littles while helping the older kids in our homeschool. School sprints sounds like a great idea. Just subscribed. I also have a channel mainly about homeschooling and it would be fun to be friends and connect here 😊
You look so great! Thanks for the update. Could you answer a question in your next video? Have you had any embarrassing or tmi symptoms, like lots of gas/farting, during your pregnancy?
I am so sorry it took me so long to reply. I have made a couple more video updates that will be going up soon. I have suffered from a lot of trapped gas which I forgot to mention in the last video I did. As far as TMI symptoms I can't think of many, I do need to keep notes before filming because I realize how much I forget. The biggest off the top of my head is that intimacy has not been fun I feel like nothing feels great which also makes me feel very unsexy but not sure if thats really TMI or not.
