Your a beautiful musician and human being, I'm leaning towards the Kawai after years of Roland, I can hear the difference, I played a CA701 and was blown away
Have you been able to get the sustain pedal to function normally on the CT-500? Mine works bass-ackwards. Sustain in ON when it's not depressed. Sustain is OFF when pressed. I've been using a Yamaha FC4A.
Hey Tamir! Thank you so much for this in-depth review. I’ve been considering purchasing the Hammer 88 Pro for quite some time because I’m really interested in its lighter action and all the controller features. However, I’ve also seen many comments about freezing keys here on RU-vid. Could you please let me know if you are still using the keyboard and if you’ve encountered any issues? Thanks again! You have a great channel, and I’ve just subscribed :)
I too was afraid of the exact same problem. Fortunately it's not yet and I'm using it daily . The device I have is excellent without any problems. I connected it directly to the computer so that there would be no voltage problems that would cause the aforementioned malfunction.
Alicias keys, maverick, and the grandeur are my top favorite vsts! I switch between that and the SK shigeru patch at certian times, depending on what GENRE you play at the time. I find that with the Kawai, you can just play it without even needing a vst due to its powerful dynamic range. All the others are just optional depending on what suites you and stands you out in the overall mix. So far, nothing I’ve tried has beaten the sk shigeru not even a vst. Thanks for the demo and Great playing😀😀😀😀
@@TamirOrkobysPiano tip for the best sound on a Kawai There is a hidden midi menu that has a bright grand sample in it that is like a hidden piano. You can’t go wrong using that. I plan to make a video on RU-vid on how to access the hidden feature. I plan to upload a video and will show you how i set everything up. Stay tuned
Beautiful! Thanks for the demos and recommendations! I hope I can find a good deal on "Alicia's Keys" one of these days, but 99 $/€ is not too terrible by VST standards, if you really want it.
I've got it with the sub to native instruments subscription base . But then see it for 13$ at plugin boutique I had to buy it permanently for 13$. Also the grandeur + gentleman + maverick for 100$. (30$each). Also session D,Y,Upright for 100$ (30$ each). So I will advice you to wait for deals on plugin boutique or other places. My recommendation is the Native instruments pianos overall.
Dude you got a DAW in front of you: watch the velocity monitor and se if it uses 128 levels, also you should select the velocity profiles that suits you better. ...but ofc it uses all 127.
Hi! I have been eyeing on buying the fp30x soon. Have you ever experienced the 'clicking' issue where some keys are louder when pressed? They say it's due to the grease or lack thereof. Curious to hear your thoughts!
This is a very fine and useful demonstration, because we can hear REALY haw the piano sounds….no to much talk…let’s hear the piano sound….very….very Good and well done…thank you Tamir
And here in the manual Tone Generation / Voice • Piano Sound: Pure CF Sound Engine • Piano Effect: Damper Resonance, Stereo Sustain Samples, Key- off Samples, String Resonance • 24 Preset Voices • Polyphony: 192
@@TamirOrkobysPianowell that’s a big mistake which I don’t think Yamaha would make. Most other reviewers mention string resonance and key off samples on the P125
Here it is under Voice List in the P125 owners manual explains the concert grand patch This sound was sampled from a concert grand piano. It uses different samples depending on the strength of your playing and produces smoother tonal changes. Even the tonal changes produced by the damper pedal and the subtle sounds of releasing a key are reproduced. The sympathetic vibration (string resonance) that occurs among the strings of an acoustic piano has also been simulated. Suitable not only for classical compositions but also for piano pieces of any style. Spacious and clear piano with bright reverb. Good for popular music.
Nice review but why do you keep saying the P125 does not have string resonance and key off samples when it actually does have both. See the P125 manual and it clearly states it has both string resonance and key off samples.
Hi Tamir, thanks for the video. I am trying to get the audio to come out of my FP30 (Not fp30x). Will I be able to do that with the fp30 or does it have to be the fp30x
Shalom! I was about to purchase roland hp704 for my wife as a gift but after this I picked up gently used Kawai CA98 for less and she is happy with it! Toda raba!
Kol Hakavod for this review, liked and subscribed! I am a guitar player who wants to keep his mind sharp (I'm 64) by learning a little piano. I think that I narrowed down my choices to Casio CT-S1 and CT-S500. I like the simplicity of the CT-S1 but don't like the lack of screen. The CT-S500 has a lot of features I probably would not use but I like the display screen, rhythm accompaniment and it just looks nicer. Be safe, Am Yisrael Chai!
You recently followed me so I’m following you back. I really enjoyed your cover and arrangement of the Sound of Silence. Quality voicings and a very moving piece.
@@TamirOrkobysPiano Funny thing is turns out i already owned it. I forgot i got it as part of bundle a while back, didn't install it at time as i was low on disk space.
I think you are a little too strict with the Casio. Can you really compare a device that costs around €300 with high-end devices that are almost ten times as expensive? Or with special VST plugins? After all, you get 800 sounds from Casio for €300, which is just under €2.50 per sound 😁 still a nice calm video! Thank you for uploading and all the best!🌞
Sorry, by “4 layers” do you mean the 4 possible settings for the keyboard? That's something different, it's just a matter of adjusting the sensitivity of the keyboard to your own taste! So how loud the sound becomes when you hit hard or lightly! the layers describe the different samples per key that are played at different strengths! But Casio didn't provide any information about this, right? By the way, I like your calm manner and your beautiful piano playing! It's nice that you take the time to do it! I still have the CT-S 400, but will sell it because I want the synthesizer functions of the 500. The new keyboard will arrive here in a day or two, I'm really excited to see what it's like..
How does this compare to the Model D from UVI station and the piano in Numa player? I saw another video where you compared those two. In my ears I think the Studio Grand from Presonus sounds better.
