b.a.r. I hope you see this... I've been a smog tech for the past 35 years. Seen lots of changes pushed by technology. Isn't there a better way of doing this? For instance, put some sniffing devices somewhere on entrance ramps of busy freeways, or whathaveyou? Engineers would have a field day w/ stats and what can be expected. We have the technology to do this. Should focus on training too. When it comes to diagnosis people are so lost they make the smog check program look much worse than it really is. What a slap in the face to the hard working employees of the Board! These incompetent Board members actually believe that Kameka Brown was an effective leader, refuse to believe complaints of workplace violence and harassment lodged by employees (one Board member, Vivian Avella, quit over that behavior), and practically refused to honor her resignation. The scary thing is, if she hadn't resigned, they would have brought her back to work. Then, to make matters worse, they appoint Cheryl Anderson the Acting Executive Officer. There have also been workplace violence complaints lodged against her! Additionally, she is "acting" manager for about six other vacant management positions. This additional assignment IS NOT PROGRESS!!! THE BOARD NEEDS TO BE SUNSETTED AND BOARD MEMBERS NEED TO BE REPLACED!

This will be good because there are so many counterpunch fighters who never seek to finish the fight, they just focused on making point at the eye of judges. With these new unified rules they have to look to finish at least to make more damage or better punches.
