I’m commenting bc of the “overcurl” comment in relation to the products you mentioned such as Cantù, & shea moisture. I just wanted to spill some knowledge that I’ve learned throughout my natural hair care journey over the years, I wanted to let you all know that it is the main ingredient called (Glycerin) that these so called overcurl products have in common. It’s not the product itself it’s the ingredients that’s why it’s good to look at the ingredients list, and understand what each one means, and the effect it can have for your hair if you are one who is trying to really be a professional or at least somewhat serious about your hair care. Ingredients such as glycerin makes your hair over curl bc it’s a humectant and takes in moisture from the air around you causing it to frizz, and you get a good lather by clarifying your hair first so that the shampoo can actually do its thing. A good lather actually is a sign that equates to =squeaky clean hair, same for silk presses, the reason why the hair be stiff and unmoving is bc you still have product weighing the hair down but that’s either here nor there lol. Anyways as far as lather the shampoo may not lather at first bc your hair is essentially dirty*. Therefore the rinse and repeat like the directions are actually telling you to do is instructing you right in order to get the most out of your shampoo properly, however wash but it’s best to don’t wash really dry hair with clarifying shampoo otherwise you will be stripping your hair even more causing it to break off. Else it’d be best to use moisturizing shampoo which it will tell you on the products description if it is or not. Literally. I also advise for hair health and to bring out your curl pattern more there’s certain methods like the Loc method (look it up here on You-Tube) you can do a porosity test) look it up, lol also maximum hydration method. Etc. but I named those few. It’s also good to Do deep conditioning treatments with heat aka a conditioning cap or blow drying bonnet or microwave cap, (google it) about at least once a week or twice a month up to you. Anyways this all the tips I got. And im on this bc I have a son and he just got his first haircut and although I know about hair as a cosmetology student and for women’s hair I’m learning about this for him. Thank you.
Oh and you can seal your hair cuticles with cold water after a deep conditioning to also help lock in moisture and get the best shine and performance out of your hair. 😊😉😘
Everyone that says straight hair wavers don’t have straight hair, it’s true but if you look at someone that’s haves nappy hair or kinky hair, curls look straight compare to those hair textures and with curls the shorter you go the straighter it is, but with nappy and kinky hair the shorter you go it’s still kinky.
Too much 🐂💩 going on your scalp. Just allow it to rest a bit. You doing too much and I’m pulling for you. Your head don’t need that many products to be healthy.
My brotha-you need to go see a dermatologist. All these natural remedies and fasting/diet don’t really work on skin conditions like that. I got the same thing; you need to use Clobetasol on your scalp and wash w Ketoconazole Shampoo, 2%. Apply both to your face twice a week. Its a life long thang. There is no “cure” to eczema like skin conditions
