This is the vista suite. Not the aft view extended. It is aft yes but I came here thinking you had the actual aft view extended balcony room and this isn’t it.
We did not have any excessive noise while we were in this room. The only time we were bothered by excessive noise was when there were rowdy people on their balconies, but that's just part of any cruise :)
The bed is the same bed as any other cruise we have been on with Carnival, it is a firm bed, which I prefer, but if you have cruised on any other Carnival cruises then you will know what you are in for. I have had cruise mates say they wish the bed was softer, but in those cases they have asked the room steward team for an additional blanket to place underneath them and that has done the trick.
Thanks for this! I'm booked in this cabin for a sailing this coming November. This will be my first aft balcony room. If you have had other balcony rooms, how did you like this one compared to side balconies? Thanks in advance!
Hi Tamela. We started out on side balconies and once we had an aft-view we never looked back. The two main differences are size and wind. The aft-view balconies are generous with room to lay out on a lounger, and the wind is never a real issue, unlike the side balconies that can feel like a mini-hurricane.
I got this balcony room on Carnival Magic, reserved for my cruise to Bermuda, from Manhattan. Thanks for giving me tour of what balcony and views look like!
They just changed my ship from the Elation to Freedom (which I am thankful for). The first thing I did was come to see if anyone had a room tour and this is the exact room I will be in. Thanks for the info! Did you feel much movement?
Hi Candace. We only felt movement when the sea was really rocking and rolling, which was only for one night as we passed through a storm. I have issues in the front of the ship cabins, no issues in mid-ship cabins, and rarely feel much in the aft-view cabins. The protection from the wind and the view from aft-view cabins trump everything else for us - I hope you love this room as much as we did!
great great video - have been looking for cabin videos for deck 9 aft on the Magic but this still gives me an idea of what our cabin will be like - not sailing her til 2023 tho - such a long wait ugh lol
Thanks! We love the aft-view balcony room on any ship. We had our 2021 cancelled due to covid, but we rescheduled and are in an aft-view on the Freedom in 2023 - it seems like such a long time to wait!
@@taryna9055 for sure! Our next cruise is actually next July on the Mardi gras - we will have a front corner suite this time only because there's 3 of us and the smaller suites were gone when I went to rebook. That's ok tho don't think I'll care much since I'll just be glad to be on a ship again!
Update: I was able to snag an aft corner suite on the Mardi gras on deck 9 which I'm pretty stoked about after hearing and seeing a lot of negative comments about the forward cabins(too windy, view blocked unless standing up). Have also heard it could be pretty noisy given those aft cabins are right over Summer landing but I doubt I will care about that given the view woohoo! Couple months to go and we will finally be back to cruising!
