I’m not moving anywhere hot. I can’t stand it. I turn on the AC when it’s 50 degrees outside. I literally can’t stand having the internal temperature be above 70
Purdy had 250 yards, 1 td and overthrew multiple game winning touchdowns. When Jimmy G does that, we kill him. When purdy does that we give him his flowers? Okay
Its easy for me. I don't like Malika Andrews+Kendrick Perkins, Skip Bayless and StephenA are jokes. So First Things First is the best, after Inside the NBA.
Instead of going on and on about the MVP or doing ANOTHER debate about the Cowboys, this show should really dig into the smaller market teams and give them some coverage. Their chemistry is so good that I'd watch a segment about any team and enjoy it. I'm a Bucs fan so it's been nice to have Baker keep us relevant and Nick being a Baker fan has done us well on the show, but they should really lean heavier on the NFL talk around the league. Does anyone else think there's an appetite for it? I think networks underestimate how much people want a more diverse discussion and not just Cowboys, Chiefs, 49ers every week.
They don't take themselves that serious. I mean, Nick Wright does but that's his role. It wouldn't be the same show if he wasn't such an asshole sometimes. This show is successful because we know they know we know that it's all fun. It's when shows try to take themselves too serious, the viewer gets annoyed with the arrogance and bad takes that are seemingly just for clicks.
Best sports show! I had my doubts when they moved to daytime and Jenna left, but they have became easily my favorite show to watch! never miss an episode! It's crazy though how much the show drops off when any 1 of them isn't there
Largely agree with everything you said about the NFL MVP debate. It was just drawn out and pointless. I do like the dynamic they have during the NBA season since there's less butting of heads and more friendly banter and feels like a bunch of the boys in the basement debating sports, like Year 1 had.
Yeah and the film is responsible for getting many into military recruitment, ironic, it's not propaganda, I think those people missed the ending of the 1st half and the 2nd half.
@@jesustovar2549 Kubrick said he wanted to make a war movie, not an anti-war movie like Paths of Glory. So I don't think there is a point. You can take a different message away according to your perspective, just as you can in real life.
It's unfair to include Fear and Desire and Spartacus. Fear and Desire was his first film and it was low budget. And he didn't have artistic control over Spartacus and was only brought in after filming began.
I like some Kubrick films, and dislike others I found him extremely overrated because people will usually put him on a top of a list of the greatest directors I particularly find Hitchcock and Scorcese much better filmmakers than Kubrick Differently from a good portion of the fanbase, I like Eyes Wide Shut and probably found this his most underrated work (it has flaws, but is still an enjoyable movie) My favorite of his films are Clockwork Orange, Paths of Glory and Full Metal Jacket. Those are not perfect movies, but very good movies But the thing is... About all those movies I mentioned as my favourite Kubrick, they are not as great as the fanbase makes them to be. Not in the same tier as Hitchcock's best (such as Psycho or Rear Window) or Scorcese' best (such as Goodfellas, Wolf of Wall Street and the Departed). Kubrick doesn't have a movie as strong as the ones I mentioned. His best is on a tier below of the greatest in cinema. The other problem with Kubrick, is that movies usually considerated his greatest are usually 2001 and Dr. Strangelove. And those movies are not as good as the fanbase puts it. Dr Strangelove is sold as this smart satire of the cold war, but in reality, the movie is not that funny (saved for a few moments) and is carried by great acting, by both Peter Sellers and George C Scott. Those guys are the reason this movie is watchable. And about 2001, I just never unterstood how so many people consider this at least a reasonable movie. Just because you did a great job at recreating space, having the best special effects ever, doesnt mean the movie is good. There is no story there. There's no narrative and everything is left for the viewer to guess. And I actually mean guess, not especulate, because nothing is hinted during the movie. There is about 1 hour of story there, and 1 and a half hour is visual effects. Sometimes I think Kubrick made that movie to mess with people, and the movie got a cult following... I would never understand what is so great about spending 2 and a half hours watching a great visual spectacle. So yeah, I belive Kubrick is overrated, but that doesnt mean he's a bad director at all
yes and he was a very bad director, couldnt get the acting out of the actors and had to rely on doing tons of takes. I mean it took him like 4 years to shoot eyes wide shut, just to shoot. Those things make him a bad director. The charm of kubrick is not in kubrick himself but the style he had from the 50s that almost never changed, like the long conversations, wide shots, minimal editting. Those are 40s and 50s things really, so his movies stand up in the 80s and 90s imo. What i dislike is the asociation of his persona of genius with the movies, making them something more than they really are, if the shinning was made by a no name b movie director of the 80s it would be a forgotten movie. But because it was made by big brain Kubrick then its "the most complex movie ever made" like it was made as a big puzzle, made to be played backwards and forwards, etc etc.
People kept telling me what a great director he is and he probably began to believe it. He tried to impress you in everything he did, but it's up to you whether to be impressed.
"Fear and Desire", and "Killer's Kiss" are juvenalia- basically student films. Spartacus isn't really a Kubrick film. The first third was directed by Anthony Mann. Kubrick had no control over what he did direct.
awesome vid i just started watching fist things first a couple months ago and even for non sports heads the show is a great watch and i tune in every chance i get now
Bro this is one of the best video essays abt sports tv ive seen, u need to make a pt 2 or some continuation bc im in love with the show (wildes is a national treasure)
The release date for part 2, Beyond the Spider verse is uncertain. I think everyone should forget about it for a while so they won’t stress over it. I also DO NOT recommend it for kids or families either. It should’ve been rated PG-13 for teens only. I say Ninja Turtles is better because it’s more lighthearted and has the same exact animation style.
I also feel that even though I dislike this movie, I feel outnumbered by all the fans who love it. It’s like they’re forcing me to like it. Like they’re brainwashed by it. You ever feel forced to like something you don’t?
I dont think ATSV is bad in any-way, its still a pretty darn good movie, but however, like other people said, it feels too overstimulating, incomplete and all over the place, I liked the first movie because It focuses on a personal level, on mile's struggles, feelings, ideals and relationships, and had a good plot that was completed on. If it werent for ASTV being a half part of Beyond the spider verse it wouldnt be not as good as itsv, but thats my opinion
@@lightspeedbrothers4615 Well it depends if it can accomplish what across the spiderverse has laid out for it, if it can conclude the story in satisfying way while resolving some plot holes then I can consider it better than itsv, but atsv as a standalone movie is not better than itsv
I had to use the transcript to figure out that #8 was Scavenger's Reign. Slow down, lad. It isn't a race. Alternatively, add titles for the shows with the numbers.
