Now with the story out about the ratchet woman smuggling a loaded pistol onto a Carnival ship, forget about unsafe ports. You now have an entire fleet to gamble your life on.
In May we were in Montego Bay Jamaica and my wife stayed on the ship and i just went to the secure port area shops. They were just fine, prices were reasonable, and there was no aggressive sellers. It was hot as hell anyway. 😞 For our next cruise, we are staying on the ship in Belize, it is a tender port anyway and the city looks like a slum.
Nassau sucks now. last time i went was 2022, and someone tried to trick me in to following them down a dark alley to "go to the beech", when i can CLEARLY see the Beech from the fucking road! First time i went was in 2018, and the second time all of the port vendors were SUPER aggressive.
The State Dept does a great job in general and attempts to keep US Citizens safe. To get on their "be ware" list --- several dangerous or even fatal events may well have happened. Believe me, trashing the government is a great activity to the uninformed....However, in a dangerous situation where a US citizen needs help....believe me, you become a grateful fan of the State DEPT
True. There are many other things to do at the port as well like swim with the dolphins, go to the bird sanctuary, go on a flow rider and so on. The vendors can be pushy though.
@@lennie7888 No, it's about a 5 min walk. When you get off the ship, the duty shop is right by the ship. You walk through that and the walking path is pretty short to the shops.
Darn I thought they were actually banned in most cruises. Got my hopes up 😅 looks like just Disney. at least this is good info for duck loving people. Thanks for the vid
Great video.. very accurate.. We went a few years ago and it's gotten too expensive since for a family. Taxi's have gone up alot too. Cheaper to get a room other places For the day. Otherwise the place is nice and food good. As others mentioned in Google reviews them asking for full price food tip is ridiculous. I gave the biggest tip I've ever done at a Day club and the guy had the nerve to ask for extra for the kitchen staff. Certainly would consider getting back but if the seaweed in the ocean is bad can't get in water. Smell mad me literally puke
You might want to avoid the dining room (poor food choices) and go to the Marketplace Buffet instead. The pizza is very good! Don't miss the production shows! They were excellent!!
@@kims1941 Thanks for the question. We sail out of Miami often and we love staying in South Beach Miami when we do. In our latest video we did sail out of Port Canaveral but that was our 3rd sailing of this year.
Definitely! The location is great. The pool there is small, but you also have access to the Circa's huge "Stadium Swim" day club. I wouldn't overpay for it though. We got a pretty good deal when we stayed there.
That's what we thought as well but they had a no smoking sign in this small casino room. We never saw anyone in this small room anyways and the main casino was already smoke free so not sure why this room is even here. On the MSC Seascape its a billiards room.
You can walk into the Aurea Spa area and the gym is free to use. Massages, thermal spa, salons, etc are not free to use and you will have to pay extra for that unless you have a higher tier package like Aurea or Yacht Club which gives you a free thermal spa and I believe a 10% discount on spa services. The gym is very nice though.
Thanks for the comment. Our day didn't go as planned as you saw. In addition, I couldn't get much for good video of the beaches as the water was very turned up from Debbie that went through the area the previous couple days before. Hoping to get back there and do an extensive video of the Island! Thanks for watching!
We loved the ship! It is stunning but we were disappointed with the service 😢 we found it took ages to be served at the bars and seemed strange that you couldn’t have your drink in the pool in the adults only section.
The bars were hot and miss for us. We had pretty fast service at the atrium bar on deck 5, but found other bars like the one at the adult only pool to be a little slow as one example.
