I'm researching photos of the Talbot to make a lyric video of my song about its history and this was such a brilliant burst of nostalgia. Awesome! Thank you
Glad you liked it, feel free to use any of the video as you like although I guess technically Yorkshire Television have a say in the rights too. Have you seen the clips in and around the Talbot in my other videos “Caistor in the 1980s” again feel free to use any of it if you want although the quality is not that good. Adrian
@@degsy1965 thanks Adrian that's really kind. I think I'm going to stick to using photos to avoid any copyright hassle and I have to get permission for each one. The other videos you did are ace too!
I just looked at this again and remember the day cos I think i was the driver doing my licenced free trade calls. I look quite young then--oh those were the days. More nostalgia please. And another thing on that date it was my 41st birthday.

@MsFruitPastilles Defending a place that you like due to some familial or historical tie by telling anyone who disagrees with you that they are pathetic.. very cerebral(!)
@mistofoles South Humberside doesn't exist. It did, but for very few years. It's now Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire. Caistor is in Lincolnshire IIRC; West Lindsey.
Thanks for that mate. I do have more video but most of it isn't really suitable for various reasons. Sadly this will be the last Caistor compilation video I do but I may put one or two stand alone clips on with the origional soundtrack like I have with The Oaklands clip. I may also dig my old 80s photo collection out and put a slide show together like your Belmullet one but that wont be for a while...
Wow can remember the petrol station but forgot all about it, can see peacock & Binningtons across the road which sold the tractors & combines. Cool bit of video.
Thanks Emma I hope you didn't mind me including that clip, that also goes for anyone else I have included. I went out of my way to choose shots that wouldn't embarrass or offend anyone, I just wanted to show some of the people and places from that era. For those who didn't know that's me walking into the Spar near the biggining. My now wife Sue is also in the video in the Talbot and sitting on the Market Place bench...
Correct it is indeed Alphaville. The track is called "Forever Young" which despite being a massive hit in Europe never charted here. As I am sure you know Alphaville are best known for "Big in Japan" which although was great, in my opinion wasn't as good as "Forever Young"
Cheers Mate, believe it or not this too was done on the camera from Radio Rentals in the Riverhead where Savers is now. Great camera but a bit heavy on the shoulder and looked like something the BBC would use...
Yes there is quite a bit more I could put on. I may think about putting some more together in a few weeks after I see what sort of reaction this gets...
