Love your videos, thank you so much for sharing. I wanted to purchase your inserts but the Etsy link said that your shop is no longer available. I would love to know if you start selling again!
I have been so binge watching your channel since I found you. So short version, i was digital girl forever, thrown in to new world jan 2021 had to retire to take care of mother with covid n now bedridden due to her health. I found being “digital” was NOT ideal when you have multiple specialists, meds, appts, Dr orders, referrals, etc. doctors don’t like when you pull out your phone during an appt. (Understandable) So fast forward. I diy everything, being on budget after retiring, n on going costs of her Heath care along with my own. As I kinda said before in a separate video comment I find I am UTTERLY wasting so much on trimmed paper. This makes so much sense to me. I have ordered basics for half letter size disc bound n going to try to get my ducks at least at the same pond 🤣😂 I’ve used the passport tn for her stuff just because it’s so compact n I can throw it in a bag with her other meds n stuff for appts, takes up no room while getting her in n out of cars moving her from A to B. But I think a half letter wouldn’t be that difficult to fit in as well n so much more room to note all for future reference as well as current info to share among drs. Funny how they don’t communicate well with each other smh. Anyway, I apologize for the long winded comment but thank you a million times over again for things you share, just know it does 100% help with people.
Really late to game to see this. But I’d like you to know that this makes SO MUCH sense to me. I am absolutely NOT a person who loves to buy inserts. I diy them ALOT. I have a small tn for a certain task but I’ve been looking for a separate one for my own personal stuffs now that I’m an analog person. Lord this sooo makes sense. I hate sizing, resizing, wasting, n throwing away paper I didn’t get right. Thank you SSSOOO much for sharing, many blessings to u from a new subscriber
My biggest pet peave is the black box with the black box with the month and the pink and red boxes for Sat & Sun. I never could stand them & was tired of covering them… (and I love color on my pages) - they always seem to clash - so I have gradually switched to Sterling ink for the banker slate - I’m in love! I tend to segment my vertical in a similar way or into a semi-dashboard. The dark boxes are ok in your design because of the pale colors that you use. Very pretty.
So one of the tricks I use is that JetPens always lists the compatible refills for their pens. So, I look up my pen body and see what refills will work inside it. There are at least a couple types of the Uni Jetstream refills so it can get confusing. I have a video about my favorite pens and I explain this better. :)
Those are the Coastline Big Numbers from Kerri Bradford Studio… I just peeked and they aren’t available anymore. www.kerribradford.com/product/stamps-coastline-big-numbers/
I have purchased printable acetate and made my own dashboards, etc. Also, Jane’s agenda has some beautiful ones, also CocoaDaisy; Sterling has printables too, not sure if they are only for subscribers but some of the designs make beautifully acetate
I have been using my clear sticker paper! I love how flat it is and it’s good enough quality! I buy it from Amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/B00006HUP7/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_NZP2SQ4856GPPNYW8KS0?linkCode=ml2&tag=plan2create-20
I prefer the idea of memory layouts for the week rather than the day. I am going to order the 6 month daily undated H & O disc bound pages when I can and that will free me up for past layouts
Try a little Dawn dishwashing liquid on a damp microfiber cloth to see if that doesn’t clean off the spots (Dawn will brake down any oils - I hardly ever need a different laundry stain remover any more- I have cleaned sued and leather shoes this way. Another idea would be to try a suede cleaner (try on a less conspicuous spot)
I love seeing hwo your mind works at planning but am a bit lost lol. Do you have a video where you explain high level and show us slowly the difference between mnthlies, weeklies, daylies. It jumps a lot so I find it difficult to visiualise everything in the right order.
who me? jump around randomly? haha. I don't think I have a video using this HL system where I break down each section exactly how I use it, but I think if you watch a monthly plan with me or weekly it might help explain. I'm using the Hobonichi Cousin now, otherwise I'd try to explain this HL system better. Maybe the full HL setup video addresses it better than these monthly flip throughs...
Thank you so much ! GREAT video I have a lot of half letter sheets and want to use them in my A5 planner. And I totally agree about the ease of cutting a sheet of planner in half, hole punching it, and it does fit in an A5 planner. Thanks for sharing 🎉
Yes I have, but I struggle because they seem "slippery" and I don't always have the patience to wait out their drying time. So, I just do my best with "dry-ish" dye inks. :)
I've used the A5 Wonderland 222 before, and it's great, but I've learned that I really like the sidebar on the left hand page and full columns for Sat/Sun. :)
What value do you get from all the information tracking? I tried writing down the meals I eat, and other every day activities like exercising, sleep, etc.. But after a point it feels like a chore, and I don't glean any insights from all that data. I'm interested to hear how this information tracking has helped you, and if it actually added value to your life, and led to any epiphany.
Oh you’re right, it can feel like a chore but that’s why I’ve narrowed it down to a few things. For me, it’s enjoyable and doesn’t feel like work. I like to look back sometimes and see the meals we ate.. occasionally it will remind me to repeat something we enjoyed! If I’m feeling like a slug, I might look back and see how I’ve been moving my body consistently and it will motivate me to keep going. 🤷🏼♀️ I just like having the data there *in case* I need it but I only track a few things, so it doesn’t overwhelm me. Also, my steps and workouts are stored in an app, so I can catch up every few days. I’m not a slave to recording it every day.
@@plan2create Makes sense thank you! I guess I'm just exhausted with work and other things, that I do not want to have another metric for productivity in the planner as well :D If you have ideas on how to use Hobonichi cousin for non-productivity/metrics etc, please share them.. I'm using my monthly as expenses tracker, which is useful to curb my takeout spending. I also use daily pages for journaling. It's my weeklies I dont know what to do - recently started using it as my ideal day wishlist, where i list down all things that I can't control I wish would happen today.
So happy to see another video from you! Enjoyed my morning coffee while watching you create! I have a few questions...What pen do you use to write over the washi? Is there a specific pen you use to write on the sticker paper. Tell me about stamping on the sticker paper...does it dry quickly? are there certain inks that work better than others? I love all of this! I use a Happy Planner in a very similar fashion, but I just LOVE the look of your journal! I may have to switch it up next year!
Thank you, Kelly!! 🥰 so the pen I use to write over the washi is an oil based Uni pen. It does dry pretty quickly. I give it a minute, but it doesn’t smear. Here’s a link to it on JetPens: bit.ly/3HoX0ZM As far as inks on the clear sticker paper… Inky Black from SC and Archival ink from CTMH are my favorites. The new Memento is working well but sometimes I think it isn’t as crisp as the first two I’ve mentioned. I think bolder ink colors work best on the clear sticker paper because they seem to end up lighter on there. So if I start with say a blush pink, it barely shows. I have success with The Stamp Market inks. That’s just what I use most often so I make them work. I haven’t brand-tested a huge variety to see what’s best. ☺️ They do dry quickly, vs distress oxide inks or any pigment inks… those would take a while to dry. I stick primarily with dye inks. (Studio Calico, Catherine Pooler, Gina K and Pinkfresh Studios are other brands of dye inks that I’ve used with similar results). Hope that helps!! I think you’d love the paper in the Hemlock and Oak and it’s fun to work on their super minimalist pages!
@@plan2create thank you so much for the detailed answer, Julie! I think I've already decided that I'll be switching to a Hemlock and Oak next year. They are pricier than the Happy Planner and I just have never taken the plunge, but I just love what you create so much!
Really enjoyed you sharing your process. I’m still overthinking March. I just need to crack on 🤦♀️ Will look into the printing app. Few photos will certainly fill some space
@@susanwhite3729 I’m sure it would prefer I load the 4x6 photo paper but this works great for me. I also have a 4x6 tray in my larger canon printer and do the same there.
@plan2create I feel like an idiot that I didn't know you could switch out photo paper for label sticker paper!! I'm so glad you mentioned it in this video, you probably had in others and it just skipped over me! But thank you!
My goal is to start writing everything down in my planner. But I always seem to forget! Hopefully, my gorgeous notebook from Burga will help me with that
You use the cousin so beautifully, Julie❤️ I adore how you segment the weekly, you’re able to track and schedule so much on those two pages. Forever my inspiration, dear friend❤️
OMG you're the only one outside of my immediate family who I've heard reference the Three Amigo's! My mom made us the costumes for halloween one year. LOVE that movie!
