Just a relatively ordinary musical gal who's been singing all her life with odd jobs in between. These jobs, not surprisingly to some with the same artistic tendencies, talents (and frustrations!), have always been in the service sector of our society, where my training and experience with music grew exponentially with my work with animals, as well as in Education.
Educated in Biology, Psychology, & Education, I was lucky to have been trained in music from my youth through graduate school and I ultimately combined this passion with teaching troubled youth to express themselves through writing creatively and while working with pets.
Not to be forgotten were my years as a lead singer with a rock n roll band, and just recently, I have become happily obsessed with the world of Dog Agility.
It is music, animals, nature & goofy friends that fill my simple days.

Just my opinion and I love Josh Groban, I thought Celine Dion's version was so moving, especially considering The limitations created by her disease. She worked hard to return to singing again. Kudos to both performers

They dont speak english in France. I hope many people has faced that problem with the french people nowadays in the olympics. I like so much France. I have visit Paris and this problem has made me confused. So magnificent song. He sang so beautiful. Edith Piaff song was created with so deep and meaninful feeling of love
Please inlight me. You’re saying that it’s a problem that French people don’t speak English in a their own country ??? Maybe the problem is that English people just don’t want to learn another language. Not sure that I understood the meaning of what you wrote since I am French (from Canada).
Why haven’t you recorded Harvest Moon yet. It’s SO musically satisfying in a way I can’t explain. It’s so romantic! I’d think any woman would go weak in the knees hearing that confession you sing so convincingly- I’m still in love with you! As a pianist myself I love watching your fingers fly across the keyboard as you play Wandering Kind! Give us amateurs a break! I’m going to be seeing you live for the first time August 30,2024 and I might have to tackle you and force you to teach it to me. I studied voice and piano under Leonard Bernstein for awhile (sang an aria solo). When I recently told her how he had me sit between his legs and put my hands on top of his. I desperately wanted to learn how to play Clair de Lune quickly and it worked! Just feeling how his whole body moved those hands up and down the keyboard that I think my muscles learned how to do it so fast! 3 weeks later I played it at one of his Tanglewood children’s concerts (I know you’ve played Tanglewood just a few decades after I did!). My daughter says it was sexual harassment at least- he was such a sweaty mess all the time from the way he conducts while flinging his whole body! Anyway I wanna learn Wandering Kind from you and I think you’ll agree- it’s really effective! Beautifully done Mr. Groban- as usual! I’m an original Grobanite! ❤😂🎉😅
After I heard Celine Dion sing this song at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, I went searching for other covers of it. When I saw that Josh Groban had a version, I knew that it would be incredible. It is!

yes, the song is amazing, but this singer failed to sing it meaningfully, you can't hear any feeling and real mood, no one will cover EDITH PIAF, ONLY CELIN DEON CAN DO THAT AND WE ALL SEE IT IN THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE OLYMPIC GAMES.
I disagree, maybe your French is not up to the standard to appreciate his version. He is after all singing as a man and it is not meant to be a cover version of Piaf's song. If it were then perhaps he should form a tribute group, but it is not. The fact that you think that only Edith and Celine, both French native speakers, can sing the song well then you do not accept that native speakers of one language can sing in another. By not knowing that Celine is spelt with an 'e' at the end illustrates my point that you are not a French speaker but if you are then you need a lot more practice.

I totally agree......this masterpiece by Edith Piaf....could only be brought back to life with that intensity.....by the iconic Céline Dion. Although Groban was good...his version comes no where close to Ms Dion. Evidence here: les jeux olympique à Paris. ❤
