To all who come to this happy place, Welcome! Here you will flashback into time at the Disneyland Resort starting in 1955. Submit your own classic videos to the email below.
I was a small child for this. One of the three little pigs approached me, wiggled his nose, and scared the life out of me. You just hear me screaming off camera. My family still talks about it.
you can see going up lol omg!!!!! and it's hollow inside much more than after the refurb... wow wow I still love this video I will forever honor it thank you god BLESS YOU
The entire inside of the matterhorn was almost hollow and you could see the lift hills and much of the interior track. I wish I could find an old movie that shows what I remember.
Thanks. We have been trying to figure out When and Where (CA or FL). We always thought it was for the Bicentennial, which explains why we could never find anyone with same pics until today.
Do you happen to know which floats became the 2 2-ring Circus floats in MSEP in '85, I know the Statue of Liberty was one of them but can't recall the other.
Ah the nostalgia.... I went on this ride hundreds of times all throughout 2004 and i remember it opening and seeing the construction. 2004 was the only year my family ever got the season pass so we went constantly. This was the best ride at california adventure, i am very sad to see it changed to guardians of the galaxy. At least they kept the same elevator dropping type thing for the new version of the ride.

Great to re-live AOP. It seems more important now to remember how and why the USA grew than it was when the parade was made. If you were a part of AOP at Disneyland it would be nice to chat. dap510@charter.net
Classic Disneyland, no tears please! The PeopleMover is still available at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. At Disneyland in Anaheim, CA, after the addition of Star Wars Land in 2019, around 2021-2023 in the same above ground platform in Tomorrowland as opposed to the old PeopleMover (1967-1995) & Rocket Rods (1998-2000), when we decide to bring back the New PeopleMover with safety rails plus electromagnets and if that amusement park is not allowed to do that, still it could be the Heathrow Pod Tour, it could be iMover, it could be Boxcar Tour or it could be a new ride with normal speed that is more comfortable than ever before.
I hope so! That would be awesome! I love that it's still around at Walt Disney World! My favorite trick at WDW is going on the People Mover when Space Mountain is temporally closed. Gives you a look at the ride with the lights on!
