These dudes are gorgeous! I have similar setup for my southern alligator lizard (I live in CA and they’re everywhere here), and the care between the two arrent that different at all. Mine is in a bio active terrarium instead of a palidarium, similar, just less water lol.
Omg I love ur channel. I never thought of feed fruit flies to bettas, will do when I set up my tank. Maybe u could try dunking dubias in the repashy and offer it to ur fire skink.
The difference between GE I and II is how it cures and how long it cures. If allowed to cure fully, neither of them is harmful or toxic. Your information is wrong.
Honestly, if you want to do something like this you need way more land area for them to be able to burrow. They aren't typically water-dwelling though yours may be more accustomed to it. I don't think you'd want a new keeper just thinking this is fine. Beautiful tank, just maybe not for a fire skink.
Great video! And great job on your enclosure! Not sure if you’ve heard of the channel “Clint’s Reptiles” but he does a fantastic job on discussing keeping fire skinks and would highly recommend you check him out. Keep up the great work! 🦎👍
