Consolidating credit card and personal finance data, making it easier to understand and learn.
I went from 463-763 personal credit score helping friends and family get hundreds of thousands in fresh credit along the way. Credit is a resource that then allows you to build and grow streams of income and build out a diverse portfolio. That is the long game and that is the long term mission of this channel, which means there are a lot of sub-topics we will cover- things like productivity, morning routines, investing, budgets, calculators and more. If that is something your into- stick around!
Hi WalletMonkey, I wanted to share some concerning news about NFCU. They're reportedly losing $300 million each month due to charge-offs, totaling over $2 billion in losses for 2024 alone. It seems their Board is considering policy changes, but what they really need is a change in leadership. It's alarming to see such financial mismanagement. Personally, I’m relieved I don’t have a relationship with NFCU and keep my money elsewhere.
@@erik_brown no its not. Some of us don't care what the interest rate is on our credit cards because we don't pay interest. I want the financial institution that will give me a $50,000 credit limit on a card & they can even charge 50% interest on the card.
I sent an identity theft report n CFPB report. A week before this. I called today after this video. I was talking to a lady who didn’t want to take off my 1 dispute. Then I said send me to the fraud department. And she said I can’t even do that unless I have a reason or report. So then I remember I sent that already. And I was transferred then the fraud department said that they got it and I need to send ID copy through mail! What should I do now? N if I send them a copy in the mail of my personal info will that hurt me in the future when disputing again?
Hey Wallet Monkey, I applied for for my first Business Credit Card with Amex Express and got approved with no inquiry 🔥🔥🔥 I turned 18 6 months ago and surprised I got approved (applied under sole prop)
Yep that just means 6 inquiries or less over any 6 month period of time, so if its today for example we just go back 6 months from today and looking for 6 or less inquiries
The adage for a long time has been not to use that but its not like there is any data to support that, more so everyone just assumes you shouldn't put that as reason for any loan
Are there any net 30 tradelines that don't cost a fee? Two approved me and gave me a credit limit but they both charged a fee in order for me to start using it. One fee is $99 and the other is $69. Are they all like that?
Great question, yes most are like that and the net 30 space is always in flux and changing too so its hard to pin that down. Meaning, what we covered in that video is probably different from what its like now as Net 30s tend to get a lot of abuse
@@WalletMonkeys you mean people are bastardizing it huh? I think that's why the banks keep switching up on us, because people are getting what they want and then running and not paying. instead of going with net 30 I've decided to do a PG. it won't hurt long. thanks for the reply
@WalletMonkeys Thank you. I was a little disappointed. My limit with the cash rewards was already $50k, and my credit is super high, so I wanted the $80k like one of my other credit cards. But I'll get there.
What do people who have a $20,000 (probably a month since payments are usually due once a month) credit limit really use it on? Such a high limit instantly seems like it is putting any lender at a huge risk especially if they spend their whole limit, falsely claim that it wasn't them, and then spend another $20,000
Hi guys, if you’d like you can use this info. I had a major issue where all of my high limit credit cards were closed in 2022 and I was left with 1 cap one and mission lane both 220 and 300. I rebuilt my credit and jumped it up to 730. Then joined navy fed on may 10th of 2023, applied for the cash rewards and got 500. I still didn’t gave any high limo credit cards other than AVA reporting a limit of 400(not an actual card) after 92days passed and 3 full system I applied on Thursday and got 10,500 on the more rewards. Quite a jump from 500, also, limit was increased instantly from 500 to 1500. I currently have 3 small CDs, a pledge loan of 500 with 95% paid and direct deposit every week. Income is over 150k. Internal score is 288 on this CC application. Thanks for the help here all the time.
That is a great story, definitely on your way with NFCU! Keep the transactional history going with them. As you build up those limits you will have better luck at other banks as well with approvals and higher limits.
Do you think they are also one of the best for auto loans? I need to refinance and am thinking about refinancing with NFCU. I already have checkings/savings accounts with them. Thanks for any advice you may have!
I am a USAA fan myself. USAA's insurance rates for all products cannot be beat and never really liked NF customer service and some of their recent scandals.
FYI if helpful…the National Archives responded with this when I requested my Grandfather’s service records a few months ago (which may be applicable to your clients): “We are unable to locate a record with the information provided in your original inquiry OR the record needed to answer your inquiry was lost in the July 1973 fire that destroyed millions of records at the National Personnel Records Center. The records stored in the area which suffered the most damage in the fire were those of Army veterans discharged or deceased between November 1, 1912, and December 31, 1959, AND Air Force veterans discharged, deceased, or retired before January 1, 1964, whose names come alphabetically after Hubbard, James E.”.
