(1) Any tip in guessing communication style of interviewers in job interview? (2) What if the email is for a group of stakeholders from mixed background?
Thank you for the excellent questions. Judging from the way you phrase the first question, I am going to guess that you have listened to our episodes regarding social style. Therefore, in order to quickly get a feel of interviewers' communication style is to pay attention to how they form question and their body languages. For example, if they tend to use a lot of hand gestures and have longer questions, you can assume they are expressive(s). If they tend to lean forward and have shorter (more direct) questions, you can assume they are drivers. As for amiables and analyticals, they will not have as much body language or even tend to lean back a little. Analyticlas would to ask more questions and hoping to get more evidences from you whereas amiables would ask more questions on how to resolve conflicts or regarding team dynamics. As for question 2, for email purposes, since most people read emails on their phones, I would say stick with Application first. It is easier to read and understand. Once everyone is on the same page, you can then decide how to approach different shareholders with different persuading techniques. Hope this helps!!
