The team is still cursed. Not sure what it will take? But what I have seen this year is ok. But if we were a Rutgers Maryland Indiana Kansas team. We are perfectly on track. I don’t think they will ever rise above that again. The plays the coaching and recruiting shows it. Nebraska can not be a top team with only a middle of the pack barely a top 25 recruiting class. We have a few good players but not enough to compete against a middle of the pack big 10 school

I know you were saying that Nebraska was undisciplined, but at the same time an undisciplined Nebraska team took Illiinois to overtime. Matt Rhule is already at the stage of "a few tweaks" and this Nebraska team would destroy Illinois. I know that doesn't matter right now, but looking forward it does
Mike Woodson has said the same things Bob Knight would said. The issue is, Mike does not have a National Championship to back the statements and that irks some Hoosier fans. Mike is a smart guy, and a good Coach. Folks say it's only the money that brings kids to IU but, the success of TJD, JHS (who was not supposed to be a OAD) tells a different story. You have to have DUDES to win THE NCAA tournament. IU has had a dude but not multiple DUDES since Zeller/Oladipo. USC and The Battle for Atlantis are critical for the NET due to the national perspective that the conference is down this year.
@@skiboy88243 he has all of Bob Knight's bad attributes and none of his good ones. Bob Knight never called out the fans. Mike Woodson is all about Mike Woodson. Bob Knight was all about the players. Mike is a connected guy who is too stubborn to admit that he doesn't know how to coach college basketball. It's not the same as the NBA. His time coaching at Indiana can't come soon enough.
Huskers fans are going to be shocked after the first 2 games of the year... they are going to lose to the Colorado buffaloes in the second game of the year.. Nebraska will be 1-1 in the first 2 games losing against the Colorado buffaloes
Nebraska is so overrated before the season starts...how can they believe that they are going to beat the Colorado buffaloes,,, they got there behind beaten by the Colorado buffaloes last year by over 15 points from a team with no blocking from the offensive line.
This podcast had no credibility as soon as he said Frost came from “UFC”, that’s a sport, not a team. Then there’s the Air Raid comment, hah! That’s disrespectful to the masters of that offense, namely the late Mike Leach. Rhule has done an admirable job with the dumpster fire team he inherited with the job. I love all the criticism about him from a supposed fan. Maybe you should tell him how to play coaching just like one “plays wrestling”. These podcasters who think they know more about a team (or even football in general) than the actual coaches cracks me up.
That’s a SILLY Answer! LMAOOOO. Huskers is one of 7 BLUE BLOODS. If the Huskers aren’t a top tier football team, Rhule will need to go! Huskers will and of course should be a Bama every year. Analysts today don’t understand recruiting…see video! Huskers just have to lock down the Midwest and remain top 10-20 recruiting. Every analyst falls to the “need to be top 5” but pay attention to teams that don’t have coaching but pull top classes and never can get past 8-9 wins. There are 2 things…most importantly coaching above stars! Then legit top players regardless of stars. See Nebraska for 25 years under Osborne. Top school in the country for 25 years. With a playoff Osborne probably has 5-10 titles! And when you look at those teams…mostly Midwest kids that were 2-3 stars with a few players from Texas or Florida. Look the coast or South players actually aren’t far off from their ranking….but Midwest kids that would be 5 stars in Texas are 3 star kids here…just facts! If Hutmacher was in Florida he comes out as a 5 star kid…he’ll barely a 3 star kid. Watch and see… Huskers looking at a playoff run every year Raiola is here and beyond! Again it isNOT ok if Huskers aren’t playing for a playoff spot almost every year! Period!! Raiola may bring a ring soon! It is unacceptable if Huskers aren’t the Huskers of old soon! See Pelini! First seven games…5-2 is unexceptionable l! Huskers should be 7-0 period! Last 5 games? Huskers should win 4 or 4-1. The reality is they are expected to go 3-2 or 10-2 overall. Hutmacher is maybe the best nose in CFB…nutty is the best linemen on this team. Robinson will probably lead the team in sacks or TFL. Huskers defense is a top 10 defense! Corners will be great, maybe best in 3-4 years! LB’s are very good as well. Top 10 defense…remember this D was top 25 in 22’(once coordinator was fired) top 10 last year and even better this year! Offense? Huskers will be a top 30 offense.. and Raiola could make it better than that… even if he gets hurt…Huskers will win with backups if needed. Plain and simple…Huskers goal is CFB playoffs…. Side note. Thank Gir Forst was that good at recruiting…his first and 2nd class will be top players in the BIG10. This team is old school tough Husker football! BIG10 be ready..even game 8 is gonna be a REAL BATTLE with OSU! Just FYI the recruits in the Midwest you can win National Titles with top 20 classes…players that could be high 4 star and 5 star in the Midwest are only 3 stars. This team is loaded and ranked about top 15 in total team talent in 24. Enjoy Husker fan!

Time to develop a culture with his assistantsWe cannot afford assistants that have gambling problems, fool around with cheerleaders, DUI’s , have domestic abuse incidents, or having affairs with female athletes. Two summers, two assistants forced out. Good to let them go if the problems are known to the players.
Wilson has an absolutely idiotic take on Nebraska's future. The "We can't be great because we live in a cornfield" argument is proven wrong by history and logic. We were great in the 90s and we were in a cornfield then. Plus, excellent recruiters and a winning team will attract winning players. It's just a very dumb argument. We will win the B1G in the next few years and these stupid arguments will melt away.

Thought Knighton did a great job developing the D line last year. Everyone was questioning that unit coming into the season. Not sure why the doubt based on year 1 results?
He has done an unreal job, I have no doubts in our Dline personally and think that will be the catalyst to helped the defense force more turnovers this year as they have another year of development
I do think that is a very likely possibility. I absolutely think they can, I just want to see if they will. As a Husker fan, with my Nebraska goggles on, I see us having an outside shot at the playoffs starting next year. I just think to regularly compete with the big dogs at the top, just need a couple of recruiting cycles through as RHule has had to build recruiting momentum back up and has done an exceptional job

I agree Wilson opponents will score on Nebraska through the air. Too many talented passers in the Big Ten and our secondary is unproven with the exception of Tommy Hill.
Anything is possible. But we will know a lot more after the Colorado game. The Buffs dont even have to win but if they keep within a single score, 6-6 might be the ceiling.
@stephenlang7870 It will be to early in the season to have that mentality. Colorado could be headed to a successful year . Gotta show up and play the games. Huskers can also be headed to a 9-10 win season .
100% disagree that we can't be the next Georgia or Alabama... maybe it's because you guys are younger. But we already WERE those dynasty teams in 70s, 80s, 90s, even early 2000s. It all starts this year they get 8 or 9 wins. The recruits will keep coming in, which more wins will keep coming in etc... we're closer now then we have been since pelini days. But they have to prove it this year. GBR 4 LIFE
I get your point, my thing on it is, I just think with the new modern era of College football and the portal, expanded playoff etc.. that it will be much harder for teams to dominate like in previous years and decades of college football. But overall I think they can become a 9-10 win-school and have a shot at a title in some of those as well. I think my take was less about Nebraska and more about the difficulties of doing that in college football as it changes

1000% - 2nd to last in FBS in turnovers. Nebraska is a 8 win team at least if you cut those back even by a little bit. That is what people miss on the outside, Raiola doesn't need to be a world beater, just needs to protect the football for nebraska to make a big leap
I almost called him out for that jokingly because I have been boxing for a decade, and there is a saying "you don't play boxing" 😂 But I think he just mixed up what he was trying to say in that moment.

Location plays a factor, but once Rhule gets these guys to campus, they usually talk about how surprised they are, so it has hurt Nebraska in getting guys to campus, but once they are there, it is different. I honestly thing that is slowly changing and will continue to as Nebraska starts to win again.
And call gotta stop sleeping on Colorado (when we talk about playing them). We haven't beat them in last several games. HELLO. lol seriously we need the oc to call good plays and they execute. Or we lose Dylan to portal in yr or two, then domino's start to fall on roster.
Good point, I tend to feel confident in that game just because of their turnover on the roster, losing 40+ players and having a patch work offensive line, but I should know by now not to sleep on anyone until Nebraska can consistently win games they should.
Ditto that was satt with those bogus play calls. But the captain goes down with the ship, so I'll accept that. Satt tried to have his 3rd string qb make a play in the endzone that our started couldn't. MINNESOTA. The other issues is he trying to air it out with back up dancers. If you are referring to us, That was our overall opinion in this video. We talked at length about the little things he is doing to improve the culture etc.
@@emusdad That’s all a moot point. The amount of money Penn St is willing to offer Rhule will be very tempting and surpasses all the other factors that you mention. One thing will be certain he will leave the Nebraska football program in great shape . It will all depends on how much winning we’re doing and even still it will be a difficult decision. Rhule is a man of integrity money will not be the ultimate factor. His love for Nebraska and if he is feeling the love back from Husker nation will be very instrumental in his decision. Nothing is a given . GBR
