Beautiful hike! We’ve talked and I also can get into a “funk” during winter months. Last year I traveled through the MidWest and NorthEast during winter and didn’t see the sun for days. I really didn’t realize how down it made me. Like you, I just pushed through it grasping for anything to boost my mood in a healthy way. Sleep definitely helps. Talking to my kids also helps. I Love you son!❤️
For someone who sleeps at 2 am and wakes up at 5 am to pump water up our tank and ready the wife for her work at 6:30 am having 4 tsps of ground coffee beans for coffee at breakfast and lunch helps a lot for me to stay awake. Our lull days here in the tropics is when there is too much rain that I can't get out id the house or this months where it is hot and got no rain for a week at a time. I think for me routine or structure helps. I get 5 to 10 minute power nap in between tasks or chores. I make my goals small and easy day by day so that the chances for improvement is possible. And I think lastly doing things for someone, in my case the wife, gets my mind off myself. E.g. I told her I would by her favorite work candy tomorrow but in my walk to the market it was possible for me to buy it today so today I did. Mission accomplished! Keep it going and hang in there.
I was landed here as a Vietnamese refugee on a boat with 247 souls on board in summer of 1989 !!! It became group 247 El Nido, the biggest single group of Vietnamese boat people who ever safely landed in Philippines !!! Thank you, Filipino for your kindness !!! 🥰🥰🥰
