"An intellectual says a simple thing in a hard way. An artist says a hard thing in a simple way." By this definition Bukowski was the purest of artists.
Charlie's Words Still Shine Ever After You Rudely Bastardized Them With This Fucking Robot Voice. That's How Good He Was, &That's How Pathetic You Are For Pulling This BS
what always happens to me the fact that I feel like I am with woman while I stare at other woman....I laugh at now when I look back, and see what it made me feel....
what sparked me so heavily is the potentiality of poetry;I thought it once; never made it self clear for me. Now I realized that it can do any thing. I imagine how many words are hunting us spreading in quantum universe..poetry can condense them no matter how powerful they may look.....that's greatest creativity executing many things in simple way
Man do I relate to this guy. I consider myself an artist, not really a writer, but especially lately I've been thinking a lot about art as emotional expression. How few people find themselves with the motivation (urge?) to create, and fewer still have the courage to share what they've created. I hope I can find that courage one day if for no other reason than to help instill it in others.
Dogs and angels are not very far apart? Damn fucking straight! I wanted to end my life before I got my dog. She gives me a reason to make it home alive everyday
Having worked in the nine to five world most of my life, in the back of my mind it never made any sense to me. Bukowski hated being a wage slave and pursed his love of words and his unique view of reality to create great art. I had a friend in my twenties who was a musician, artist, and poet. He was viewed by most of his peers as weird. As it turns out, he was marching to his own drumbeat and was much more intuitive than those who played by societies rules. He smoked, drank and did drugs which put him in an early grave. I didn't appreciate him until later in life.
Buckowski books are unreal However like all literature they don’t appeal to all,He is unfiltered , I gave 1 of his books to my Dad & he wasn’t a fan, I relate to Buckowski He would have been good to get on the drink with
