The Michael O’Neal Singers (MOS) is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 to bring choral music of artistic excellence and wide variety to its community.
MOS presents an annual concert series, a Messiah Sing-Along, and a non-auditioned Summer Singers program. In addition, MOS provides a free CD (MOS Remembers) to those who can no longer attend choral concerts in person, and live-streams many of its concerts to reach those who can’t come hear the chorus in person.
I love all of these songs. This always reminds me of my childhood and my grandma, Apollo 9 and my brothers opening their gifts. Also, my mom preparing Xmas dinner, me helping her and the house filled with family and the tree along with the real story of Jesus.
To me it would not be Christmas without the wonderful music of John Rutter. His carols can make me smile as well as bring a tear to my eye with visions of Christmas past. I thought it was great that they talked Santa Clause to don a tux and join the men in the chorus.
It is so great to see you all back in action after the pandemic. I lived in the Atlanta area only for two years (2017 to 2019) and participated with MOS during that time. It was one of the highlights of my life: good music, good singing, good direction, good friends, good audience, good location, good concerts ... what more could a singer want? When we had to move away, having to give up MOS was a very hard thing to accept. Good luck to you Michael O'Neal and all of my former singing buddies. -- Nic Cols
Hi Nic, it’s so good to hear from you. I appreciate your positive comments about your time with MOS and hope you have found another chorus in which to sing. However, If you’re not currently singing with a group I’d love for you to consider joining MOS ONLINE. Although you heard my explanation of MOS ONLINE in the short video you viewed, a more complete description and registration information can be found at www.mosingers.com. All Best, Michael
Those people didn't really understand that song they had a meeting and he was talking about us now let Black People go it's time to pay us and let us go Reparations
I never got to sing this but two visiting choirs did ( Malden High Malden MA- mid 70’s) and i was obsessed with it for decades. So happy it can be found online now. I even bought the sheet music.
