Any Jack-It product or accessory does add overall tongue weight. Most travel trailers put 10-15% of their overall weight transitions into their tongue weight. So if a travel trailer is 5,000 lbs, that's 500 lbs of tongue weight. The Jack-It Pro weights 48 pounds and can hold 180 pounds max with certain accessories. 500+48+180=728 lbs of tongue weight. (As an example)
I find no reviews or comments from buyers. I just bought one here, two years after this video, so clearly some are being sold enough that they're still making them! Looks like there's a need for us to make a review video about it. We're going to be taking this to Burning Man 2024 in about a month as well. It delivers in a few days. Hope it's as cool as it looks...
If thats the camper that works best for you then go for it! The CoolCamp seems to be a great camper for camping. The Spec Ops and the CrashPad Camper stand apart as heavy-duty 4x4 trailers that have a 2,000 lbs cargo capacity making them so much more than just camping trailers. Customer who choose the SpecOps are looking for a trailer they can use for utility as well as camping making the trailer useful all year round.
much nicer if choosing between pop up & this for on the go camping. Quicker to set up and lighter to tow. Also in contrast to regular tent...this stays clean...no ground tarp to pack.
Except with that height putting on the rainfly will be a pain in the butt even with two people; I would hate to have to do it just by myself. Most lightweight motorcycle towable trailers go up quicker and are around the same price if not cheaper, and they have the benefit of having superior tent material for all season use.
There is absolutely nothing that is illegal or unsafe about mounting the Full Nelson to your truck or using it transport bikes & gear. I'm not sure what you are referring to, but if you would like to give us a call [1-719-630-3800] we would be happy to clear up any misconceptions that you have.
@@dabeachman The Federal reg’s are max width of 102”, with an additional 6” for ‘appertances’ which are things like mirrors, awnings, mud flaps, side ladders ect. If your concern is flagging, that comes down local regulations, we didn't flag our bikes for this video but you certainly can. The Full Nelson also has center mounting points if you don't like the side positions.
If thats your preferred way of camping then it sounds like this trailer may not be for you. This trailer is designed for outdoor lovers who are looking for a robust trailer both for transport of the gear as well and the added benefit of sleeping off the ground! However you prefer to camp, we're just glad you are!
Out the door, the cost is $7,198.00. This includes the full trailer and tent kit. You can see more about here: www.letsgoaero.com/products/spec-ops-summithaus-camping-trailer?_pos=3&_psq=summithaur&_ss=e&_v=1.0
There are definitely pros and cons to both trailer and cargo carriers. Our customers that choose cargo carriers note that trailers have to be registered, they require special attention when driving and cause additional fees on many toll ways. For long vehicles like 5th wheels and RV's, trailers may even be impossible as many states in the US have vehicle length maximum laws. The GearSpace Cargo Carrier is an extremely tough lifetime product that made from the same plastic as high-end kayaks. The carrier provides lockable storage as well as quick slide-out access which is great for getting into the back hatch of SUVS, the rear doors of Sprinters Vans, or the slide-outs on RV's. If a cargo carrier isn't best for your situation and your in need of even greater storage space, we recommend checking out our robust trailer line: www.letsgoaero.com/collections/trailers
No, they come in kit that does require assembly. You can see more about the assembly by reviewing the manual here: www.dropbox.com/s/2k7bigdwuzj8kww/T02035-T00366-Trailer_Manual.pdf?dl=1
As the largest cargo carrier in the world, it is a premium product. You would be surprised at the amount of work that goes into building and shipping just one of these carriers. If you find another carrier that is comparable in size and function please let us know!
Did you know that the trailer is a kit you build together. 4x4tv has a video that I watched on how to put it together. No welding. A woman could build it.
I just purchased one of these and WOW, this thing just works, period! I have a 4x4 Labs rear bumper on my FJ80 and the typical hitch tightening brackets don't work with that because there is nowhere for the bracket to push against (based on the design of the bumper). So glad I found this, installed in seconds and no more play in the hitch!
While the single chair serves as a quick example to illustrate the boxes opening and slide-out function, you could put much much more inside of the carrier. We have customers that use this box to store e-bikes, grills, medical equipment etc. Feel free to check out our website to see reviews from other customers and see what their carrying. Obviously, if you're just carrying a single a chair, this box is probably not for you.
Hi. Wow, this video is ten years old but I'll ask anyway...I'm looking to purchase a used Gear Wagon 125 and add a tent. Do you have any idea how I can purchase this tent or at the very least add ventilation to it?
I want to like this, that just seems like a lot for the tailgate/tire bracket to hold. A big tire/wheel combo can weigh 70 pounds, and then another 70 on top of that?
Thank YOU! Glad you like it! We currently running a 10% off discount through the end of April if you sign-up at Letsgoaero.com/moon-unit if that helps!
Love this moon tent its a great idea for small camper and vans giving extra room and privacy for a toilet and shower also nice sitting or dining area. As much as I love the moon tent its a bit pricey. The cost runs from 399 to 749 depending on which moon tent you want. Its to pricey for me but if a person can afford the moon tent its a great addition to your camping needs...
