The USPTO is the federal agency for granting U.S. patents and registering trademarks. The USPTO advises the president of the United States, the secretary of commerce, and U.S. government agencies on intellectual property (IP) policy, protection, and enforcement; and promotes stronger and more effective IP protection around the world. It also provides training, education, and capacity building programs designed to foster respect for IP and encourage the development of strong IP enforcement regimes by U.S. trading partners. Through such protection IP, American industry has flourished. New products have been invented, new uses for old ones discovered, and employment opportunities created for millions of Americans. The strength and vitality of the U.S. economy depends directly on effective mechanisms that protect new ideas and investments in innovation and creativity. The continued demand for patents and trademarks underscores the ingenuity of American inventors and entrepreneurs.
Hi, could I say the patent will be most likely to be granted if it goes to the publication? I mean as long as there's no objection, then you should get a pass?
@1:47 Traci Rabbit makes excellent points about the "branding" of artist and their artwork, art pieces, crafts. Study about Google Search, and how it relies upon "keywords" to rank information as correct, relevant, and trending. Try googling your ideas about your own branding! What pops up 1st? Haha, surprise! So, do not sleep on Google Search. Study it, and benefit.
401 error...Only way to get around it is to use the free "TOR Browser" by the Tor Project or VPN. USPTO does not allow filing guest applications out of the US. This is usually done by a patent lawyer in US aka representative.
The USPTO cannot provide legal advice, so if you'd like assistance applying to register your trademark, please consider hiring an experienced U.S.-licensed trademark attorney. An attorney can help with pre-application research, submitting the application, and communicating with the USPTO. www.uspto.gov/trademarks/basics/why-hire-private-trademark-attorney The page linked above includes great information about working with an attorney, including suggestions for how to find free and reduced-price legal services. It also highlights the potential dangers of working with non-attorney filing firms. www.uspto.gov/trademarks/protect/filing-firms To learn more about trademarks and the federal registration process, visit www.uspto.gov/trademarks/basics.
God would be smiling down on this innovations, 42 years in engineering finally we have a team giving us te h that far out values weapons and arms .......Brains next ,AI , powered and hey no more mental health days ,star trekking .... boldly Go !!!!
If I can make a suggestion, try looking thru US Government SIBR programs. This sounds like something the VA could use, or maybe even help you roll it out farther without losing control of your company to investors.

At around the 41:44 mark, is there an ideal preference: A, B, C for the specialized experience while applying to be an Design Patent Examiner? Also, how important is it to pass the patent bar exam when applying? Lastly, when is the next application window for the design patent examiners? Thanks you!
I need some guidence to create and verify my account on ID.me verification, I am living outside of USA but i have US california LLC , And i don't have SSN or ITIN how can someone help me on this? I am really in a problem
For guidance on how to create and verify your ID.me account, be sure to read the "Identity verification for trademark filers" webpage: www.uspto.gov/trademarks/apply/identity-verification. The page includes a link to ID.me's help page called "USPTO and ID.me," which includes specific information about how to get started creating an account: help.id.me/hc/en-us/articles/4412245504407-USPTO-and-ID-me. It also includes a page on how to verify your identity if you live outside the United States: help.id.me/hc/en-us/articles/4415907236375-Verifying-if-you-live-outside-of-the-United-States. Please remember that you are not required to verify your identity if you are represented by a U.S.-licensed attorney. And also remember that foreign-domiciled trademark owners filing trademark documents with the USPTO *must* be represented by a U.S.-licensed attorney. As you'll see on the "Hiring a U.S.-licensed attorney" webpage, "foreign-domiciled" is defined as "an entity’s principal place of business (headquarters) where the entity’s senior executives or officers ordinarily direct and control the entity’s activities." So depending on the specific facts in your situation, you might either: -Be required to be represented by a U.S.-licensed attorney, making it unnecessary to have your own ID-verified USPTO.gov account; or -Consider hiring a U.S.-licensed attorney anyway, making it unnecessary to have your own ID-verified USPTO.gov account. www.uspto.gov/trademarks/basics/why-hire-private-trademark-attorney
Thank you for your assistance. Your USPTO RU-vid CPC tutorial for the PSF site is missing one important thing. How to input the search code such as the .CPC. after the code input. If the person assisting me didn't tell me I would not have ever known. There is a lack of basic information on one page to use your system. Secondly most searches start with "terms" which we are still looking for. Your CPC search is lacking many useful tools that have to be known before even using your USPTO search site and is not specific or narrow enough therefore too broad. A concerned patentee after 30 years it's quite sad. Your site is now even more confusing... why? And lastly the human factor to assist inventors is lacking. This alone would put off many inventors in the US. We are falling behind many countries in patents... and you wonder why!
Post-AIA US law no longer permits invalidation of a US patent for failure to disclose the best mode, although technically the best mode is still required to be disclosed by the language of 35 U.S.C. Section 112.
Did someone forget to mention Restriction Requirement? Because in real cases, this is the first thing that an examiner does before even reading the application !
