Question for all e89 owners: at 3:54 you can see the exposed mechanism at (let's call it) "C-pillar" area? Is this normal as in there are no missing parts of a headliner there? Thanks....
These are not a bad car, we had one for a while. Just make sure you get a good 12 month warranty. Main issues are the dual clutch. This is a manual gearbox with an automatic dual clutch. Make sure it's had the updated clutch, as there were a lot of problems with the early ones. Another thing to look out for is the heated windscreen. It's very common for one side to fail. It's also pretty juicy as well, you'll only get around 35 mpg around town, maybe 50mpg on a long run. They have a good load carrying capacity though. We swapped ours for a Toyota Yaris, far more reliable.
I've got this exact model. Mines an 08. It's been almost totally reliable in the 6 years I've owned it. I'm hoping to keep it for another 4, then hopefully get a decent price for it. I would definitely recommend it to any buyer.
Anyone who's looking to buy this I30N I can confirm the 600 mile run in process was followed exactly how Hyundai recommend! I bought it new with 9 miles on the clock
