Such a beautiful shop...Im ashamed of myself for only ever walking BY it. Guess it deserves another trip back to Burgundy. It is very good to live in countryside. How peaceful life is ! It is a way from the biggest cities and crowded people . If you live there , you can imagine much of what is life ❤️ Thanks profusely for the video .

We have visited Athenaeum several times when visiting my cousins who live in Meloisey. I could spend hours in there! Another favorite store for us is Allen Hess where we purchase cheese. My cousin’s winery is Domaine Mazilly Père et Fils. I saw some of their wine in the store and mentioned it so that’s what they served with lunch when we got home. 😀 They have vines in Pommard and I agree with you-it’s beautiful there! I enjoy your videos and look forward to your next one.
Marloes your visit to Beaune was just wonderful. l often spend a lot of time in the Atheneum bookshop, it is my favourite shop in Burgundy. It is not far from Dijon. I am collecting the large limestone tiles to put on my window sills in Dijon. They add a unique charm and are easy to wipe. Thankyou for telling us about Pommard as l never realised there was a Chateau there! 🌾🌾🌾
Unfortunately Australia does not offer the option for selfpublished hard cover books. They advise to buy it from Amazon.co.uk to get the best shipping rate to Australia. Many other buyers have done that and received the book quite quickly. I am so sorry they don’t offer an easier or cheaper option… thanks for the support!

I totally love The Athenaeum-have a bread bag I bought a in 2004 there, a butter dish, a carafe, -looks like they have expanded dramatically since I was last there in about 2008. Thank you for the wonderful walk-through. You brought back such memories.
YES I knew you were tall, clothes look great on you! So I have a question ⁉️🤔 I noticed the door in the room where you were trying on clothes...I love that. How did you paint it? We just hung our new wooden doors in our new house. I would love to paint them all like that😊We are doing our new house in French country. ❤😊
Thanks! I thrifted those doors and they were painted in 3 or 4 different coats of paint. I spent 3 days sanding and stripping them (3 days per door that is! It was horrendous). We will probably paint them because Olav really doesn’t like this look… You could whitewash yours or give them a thin coat of paint and then sand them down again to try to create this kook
