thanks, I made them in Midjourney , and tried to get the AI to do "sci fi" ish images. A great resource for all you creators looking to ad images to your vids.
yes! it will do the traditional with no problem, super easy once you get the basic signal flow figured out. and even the bloops and blogs can be played by midi keyboard and will often give traditional feel. I'm going to say that it's almost 3 results that you get when making a patch. the midi keyboard result, and the free drone, or the sequenced trigger result. and just a micro turn here or there can put it into any patch an insane change in the sound/delivery. So long story , yes. I had a matrix 6 for a long time, and I always wished it would have knobs , and this is in that real of thinking when you put the patch together. I spend more time with this machine than all the other 10 or more synths that I have.
Hey Rumo, I just made the short demo of it being a standard synth. I had a flu for about 2 weeks, so I just got to it. my playing sucks hahah , I was just trying to show the function of it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RimsrYUosyI.html
Very impressive patch design. Maybe you like my "Not Neil Peart" with the pulsar-23. It is a patch design that requires no manual control. Let me know what you think. I very much like what you do with your Pulsar-23.
Hey I met you real birds in deadwood south Dakota ..en I camped with the rezlbirds in crew agency .pow wow ...helped set up your tee pees...I rember rodeo was on same time your brother gave me a penalton sweater ...
Thank you!!! James. definitely spooky dooky, love the video and soundtrack. It gave me a real sense of unrest, the good kind. Keep creating art and working that magic.
Thanks a lot . It's taken a while to learn to slow down sometimes in the electronic sound thing. I'm discovering new sonic landscapes as I go with that machine. do you make music?
@@InFamousProductions awesome! Yes, lifelong bass player & percussion, just started synth journey. Looking at Syntrx II & Pulsar 23. Seems like you are bringing great vibes with them. Read your recommendation of using external lfos/modulation to open up Pulsar more 👊🏼🍻
@@briangardner5053 right on bro . I was in a punk band in LA for a long time on guitar, and one day I just turned into a punk rock synth freak hahah. Ya, I haven't hooked the Pulsar and Syntrx together yet. I gotta do that soon. get both if you can they are insane. I want to put each though each other haha
Hey all, a note to the patch. Note at the start the LPF (low pass filter) is to the zero position. If you set the knobs exactly like the beginning, you won't hear anything until you open up (turn the knob to the right) on the LPF.
thanks. if you have any questions about the vid, let me know. I thought about putting some graphics over with tips, but I didn't want to take away from the synths magic. But if you think having tips over the vid would help, let me know.
@@InFamousProductions In my opinion it doesn't need graphics but it's your party 😎 I have recorded a few short sessions of my own and will come back to them again with fresh ears and process them further in makenoise modules and Max software for even more surprises. Still learning all this gear but far better than presents and parameters
Hey, thanks so much for the comment. Yes I had been wanting to get the Mark one, and kept saving my money for it, and then I heard that a mark two is coming out, so I held off and waited and waited and then I got it. At first, the concepts of it blew my mind as I’m used to use standard analog synths. But the randomizer helped open my mind to how it’s really working and now it makes sense . learning this machine will rewire your brain. Now my method is to randomize until it gets some sort of sound and then I go in and do patching so that it will be semi-controllable like a regular synth. And I haven’t even started putting external cv or sounds into this thing. So I’m not running the internal sequencer and I’m not using the joystick recording either so you could get the same sounds or very close that I’m getting from this out of the Mark one I’m probably going to buy a Mark one and run them together, and I have only use the joystick recording once or twice while it’s super cool, I am so busy with the rest of it. I don’t even think about that part. I don’t think you’ll regret getting one of these if you’re looking for unbelievable depth, and you can just look at the patch set up above and put in those patch points and you’re going to get what I’m getting, so you have a ready to go patch in front of you that will give you what you want. I’m working on another patch now that should be as epic and I’ll make a video as soon as I get it to the point that I like it. FYI, you can get amazing stuff very quickly in just a minute or two. The patching is actually very easy and very fast. It looks difficult but you had one so you get it. Let me know if you get one and I’m dying to see some and hear some patches.
Will do thanks. I still have a lot to learn with my Pulsar 23 and makenoise modules, but combined with this they should complement each other. I have to be careful though as I find myself overwhelmed when I have too much choice. And I haven't even mentioned the ios apps and vst software. The only things I wish could change with the Mark II is lose the audio meter. I much preferred the one on the Mark I, as well as the knobs but that's just my taste. Fortunately it doesn't affect the sound. This session reminds me a little of the "Cluster 71" album which is a wonderful album. Its funny as I started out making music that was melodic, proggy/electro/acoustic but I am also leaning to enjoying noise for it's own sake. A bit like abstract painting in audio. There is no reason why I can't have a foot in both camps.
@@Ian-gw2vx totally. and it sounds like we have similar taste haha I have a pulsar 23, you can see a few of my experiments in this playlist. I haven't spent much time with it lately as I have about 17 synths and drum machines and I feel your A D D pain hahaha. feel free to post some tracks on here so I can check them out. FYI I came from the Punk Rock side of life haha I was in an insane band in CA for a long time and one day got turned on the the Synth.
@@InFamousProductions Well, I have gone and pulled the trigger and bought it as I got a deal with £110 off an already low price. I have you to thank for the final decision as your demo finally convinced me. I do have a band camp page with my more proggy/electro/acoustic stuff but plant to open another page purely for experimental as I have quite a few tracks already almost ready to upload.
@@Ian-gw2vx that is awesome! Lucky score! Eventually , these machines will become super super desirable once people start to figure out what they are really capable of. I'm looking forward the MKIII hahah I have a lot of ideas for that. more matrix and a bunch of CV points that can be assigned to anything internal haha.
@@InFamousProductions I just can't wait to hit that random button. I looked at your other videos and you seem into horses. Lovely creatures. we have a lot here in Cheshire around the country lanes. I remember as a child playing in the stables of Windsor castle where the Queen's horses were kept. Long story why I was there but my dad was in the army and got my mum a job there cooking.
Sounds amazing. I am thinking of pulling the trigger on buying this but there are not too many demos on RU-vid to hear enough. This is exactly the kind of sounds I was hoping for. I do like the idea of generating random patches with this as I sent the Mark I back because I just couldn't get on with it. I kind of regret it now.
@@Ian-gw2vx well, I'm still working on the basic vid but I'm about to upload the God Patch #2, and it's pretty nice, with tips at the end . I have Focal monitors, and they are pretty killer, except that I have to get about 8 feet away to really hear the bass hahah
Very nice. That track was very alive sounding to me almost like it was being played on an acoustic drum set. I look forward to more videos. Subscribed!
