Boo Subaru it's to big and to fake looking it looks like a RAV4 Subaru is so post to me the small go anywhere on a budget they have taken it away from what founded Subaru so sad I'll never own one
I'd argue this might be the best half ton in the premium market right now... That being said I just don't think I could put this kind of money into a company that quite possibly could be out of business before the bumper to bumper warranty is up.
My 2024 Ram 2500 has 25k miles on it now and the seats are already wearing out. Best riding 4X4 you can buy, but I am seeing a lot of things making it very questionable over long term ownership. Will it last? That is the question when buying one. My 2018 Ram 2500 was a good truck and we had a fleet at work. They are rock solid reliable until you reach the 130k mile range then things start popping up. My 2024 I drive at work is identical to the 2018 as far and engine and features it has the 6.4l Hemi which I am glad because the Hurricane engine has not been out long enough to see what problems may crop up. It certainly looks like it could be one of their best engines, but time will tell whether they are or not. Nice looking truck man:P
Great review. I loved the car when it was drivable. To and from work on all EV power - no gas. Sporty looking and fun to drive. Unfortunately, there's a major recall on these for a possible brake failure. Even worse, they don't have a fix. So my new car sits in my garage as I wait for a repair or a buyback from Dodge.
"Yinz"? I take it you're in Pittsburgh. That's cool, because that's where I plan to move in a couple of years. Great review. I was loaned an Outback when my Forester was in the shop at Subaru. I agree, the Driver Focus System is ANNOYING. It can be turned off, but it defaults back on at every start. Like the Autostart, I'd turn off before driving.
Thank you for discussing the lack of a remote starter. I’ve watched many videos but no one else mentioned this. I live in a very snowy area, so I use my remote starter in my 2015 Impreza. Not a deal breaker, though, because Subaru AWD is so good.
One month ago I picked up my new 2024 Outback Limited and I love it. 74 years old with a lot of long cross country days long drives. I could not justify the turbo upgrade since for 10 years I've been with the 2.5 naturally aspirated engine, and very pleased. The Harmon Kardon is so much better than any sound I've had in any car. My one worry (and possibly one reason I should have gone Touring) is these "fake leather" seats feel too hard after several hours. The dealership told me the seats will break in and become comfortable
would a single exit serve this car better? yes, yes, single exit, but w/o a turbo, a single exit is lighter and should provide more "rumble" despite the ELH on the the FA/FB engine cars...something like the noble performance or Invidia N1 or the Fujitsubo Authorize RM...not that this nameless piece isn't nice; but possibly not necessary. 🤔
Enjoyed the review but. Did you use the DCC and set it at the highest comfort level for the ride? And the Golf R is the GTI AWD. That's what the golf R is. And lastly as an owner of a 380 edition SE you get used to the infotainment system very quickly. you use the short cuts for things you use a lot or that are harder to find that you would use a lot. It's pretty much set it and forget it for almost everything else. You end up after the set it and forget it part in android auto or apple carplay after that.
Not economical, not a hybrid. This car is aimed towards northern climates or Subaru fans. I had to get a Corolla hybrid simply because of how efficient it is in comparison, I hate how Subaru has locked away the 2.5L to the top trim. The powertrain already feels lethargic with the CVT, it really should be a standard engine. All the modern hybrids have really good electric throttle response that makes n/a commuters feel dated now. If only Subaru offered a hybrid powertrain!
Subaru is getting hybrids soon. From Toyota. I think they would rather just take Toyotas old hybrid tech and tailoring it to the boxer, than spend money on developing their own
I just don’t understand how can it be more expensive than a BMX or Merc they will never bring the price down because people are suckers for the slogan “ more reliable than “ 😂😂😂 I’ll stick to the Germans had no issues for 20 years.
"Lexus More reliable" is fact while "german had no issues for 20years" is a story. Data and satistics supports facts. Smart people believes facts. Dumb people belives in story 😂😂😂😂
The N Line sonata should have been called the N, it is different enough from the std to be an N. The normal model has a 1.6lt turbo, only the N Line has the 2.5lt Turbo, all the features, suspension changes, tuned exhaust ..list goes on. Not sure why it was not called an N. Guessing it was not so the I30/Elantra N would sell. The car is quick, the different modes normal, sport and sport + are all very different drive modes unlike the typical mode not being much different. Launch control available, always struggles a bit being front drive only and the diff config not being an LSD but still gets to 60mph in 5secs. Great car, def worth the buy. Not so sure about the new 2024 version thou,.
It does have a certain amount of umph, but you gotta coax it out smoothly, it never reacts well to “pedal to the metal” situations. When you keep the accelerator at about 75%, give it a second and it suddenly comes alive. The drivetrain is weird that way.
@K03sport my cousin is a subaru tech and has access to the dealership wholesale prices, we did it together where he worked, it took us 2 days but was easy, take off the skirt and lipstick be a man and work hard and it'll be easy
You can set up in the app to have a departure time and if plugged in - you can have it set the cabin temp. Check it out - it may also work unplugged but will use the battery power to do that vs the house power. At least that how my MachE is
