lol, love people who can't give away a lake, its a lake, not a spot on a lake. It's Buck lake, go to Pigeon and fish off the provincial launch or the hump in the middle of the lake. Use spinner rigs and dew worms. Bigger fish at Pigeon.

Everyone gos there and your not the first ones to fish that spot which is so unoriginal. Any fisherman or Albertan knows what a pickeral rig is genius. Dont quit your day job and thanks for exploiting a spot to more unnecessary angling pressure. Its guys like you that ruin fishing for others.
Really good to know, it’s such a common way to fish but all those points make sense and then only way you would learn that is from someone telling you so appreciate the information hopefully many people will learn from it!
cool little trip. Looks like a fun spot. I'll have to find it someday and take my sons there. You guys should invest in a nice fish measuring board and a fish cradle or bigger net. Just to keep the fish off the rocks. Gentle handling helps ensure a successful release. Glad you are enjoying some quality fishing. Too bad its so dry this year and most of the reservoirs will be too low for fishing.
We will definitely be getting a nice board and net for next time we head out there was for sure in the back of our minds once we got there! Hoping the fishing has been successful for you so far this year!
Hahaha just tie some line around your hand and hope you don’t snag a jumbo pike then you could really hand bomb one in 😂, oh ya it was freezing and windy out there that day but only had a couple days back home so was going no matter what!
