I had an abusive husband we started going to the gym. He beat me for years but I had just come in from a 16 hour shift I was tired I needed a shower and still had to cook food and clean as he refused to. He decided to hit me as I sat down and kept dozing off he punched me once that day and I totally lost it I punched him back and I took him off his feet he landed on the floor in a heap. I was in shock I didn’t realise I had gotten that strong I was just tired and at the end of my rope. I warned him if he hit me again I would punch him harder next time he never hit me again but sadly didn’t stop the mental torture.
