I feel like the writer accidentally made Shigaraki too strong and they only wrote in Star and Stripe to lower his power and make him beatable. I was really disappointed by this writing choice 😥. I would have loved to see her join forces with the Japanese heroes and fight with them. I still love the show but man I was bummed to see her go after only 2 episodes.
9:04 its a condition in the pact to not reveal to anyone else, and because of the same reason he couldnt contact gojo before his body was fixed and pact was complete

Thanks a lot for your great reaction ! ....in my opinion, in this series every character lost someone, Toji lost his family and Geto/Gojo lost a lovely girl. 😢So in 1st ep Itadori lost grandpa, Nobara lost her home....and who lost someone ?😨 i definitely hoping next.
Toji could've beat both Teen Gojo before the reverse cursed technique awakening and Teen Geto easily in a 2v1 I think. He was way too dangerous and smart. That plan was 10/10 to let Gojo's guard down. 300 IQ. The goat!
@@speedrunner3312 I don't know about that, Toji knew he had to exhaust Gojo since even toddler Gojo could sense Toji watching him. Had Gojo not been exhausted and it was a 2v1, they would have a much better chance and perhaps Gojo wouldn't have simply gotten bested with Getos help as he would be able to at least do some interceptions against Toji's trickery. It probably wouldn't be an easy beat down had it been Adult Gojo, but I say they'd have a fair chance of a 2v1 with unexhausted Gojo.
@@Mukatutu Yeah I guess you're right but that's how strong Toji was. It would take Gojo and Geto to try to take him down. Also Gojo not exhausted without RCT awakening would still get bodied by Inverted Spear of Heaven by Toji I think.
I've not watched Violet Evergarden yet but I know that the soundtrack for both VE and Frieren were composed by the same guy, Evan Call. I'm a huge fan of his work on this show so I'm looking forward to hearing more when I finally get round to watching VE.
Speaking of the Nemophila flower, there's a Japanese all-girl band called Nemophila. I don't think they would fit this show very well though as they play heavy metal.
This episode had several excellent examples of symbolism with Himmel as Sky. When Heiter fell, we saw the massive rain storm. Himmel was crying. When Heiter tells Fern about hos lost friend in the flashback, he's looking to the clear blue sky. When Frieren finds the Blue Moon Weed l, she is framed agains a beautiful sky, show Himmel is with her and happy.
I love how chill this show is. It’s so easy to relax and get immersed into it. Himmel consistently ranks at the top of fan favorite surveys in Japan. Also, RIP mic lol
there's some theory why at the begining Himmel looks younger than Heither, while at their old age he looks older and Heither outlived him 20 years. First theory is because the Shadow Dargon's horn that himmel keep, it corrupt Himmel health for 50 years. Second theory is because Heither is a priest that focused on healing. And in this world, a priest has blessing from Goddess of Creation that make them invulnerable against like toxin, curse, and etc. and thats why Heither live longer than any human, while Himmel old like a normal person.
I think the second one is probably the more likely reason in-setting. Narratively, it's to make a clear visual divide between young and old Himmel. The times we see Heiter in her memories tend to vary between the young Heiter she journeyed with and the old Heiter she visited, so there's little need to treat them distinctly. Himmel in her memories though is purely the young beautiful Himmel of the past, keeping her memories of the Himmel of that era, the most important part of her life, completely pristine.
Episodes 1-4 were released as a set and kinda form the prologue. While everything else was released weekly, I, and many others, think watching episodes 8-10 in one sitting improves the experience. This isn't a universally held opinion tho.
3:11 with one notable exception, the names of people and places are German words. Himmel - Sky, heaven Frieren - (to feel) coold, freezing Eisen - Iron Heiter - Cheerful Fern - Distant Stark - Strong Flamme - Flame, passion. Knowing the names isn't necessary, but there is a lot of added value in symbolism.
There is a German RU-vidr, Storieswithstyle, who has a lovely video going into the names (people, places, spells) used in the anime up to episode 16. It is very much worth watching, and each name is timestamped. Spoilers for the first 16 episodes tho.
There are also a bunch of Dutch names, some are obvious because the english translation is pretty much the same. Ill list a few I can think of: Denken - Thinking Spiegel - Mirror Edel - Noble Lawine - Avalanche Serie - Series Methode - Method
This is a story of emotions, what they are and what they mean coded as fantasy. It is a journey of discovery very much like Violet Evergarden. (Evan Call wrote the music for both). But as you experience this story, you can watch Frieren change.
Thanks so much for the support! <3 We get together on weekends to record these, so apologies for the once a week they come out! I will try to edit swiftly!
