Hi. I have a 2011 Sonata with only 38,000 miles. It has a new battery battery and starter. It has no power to anything and no crank. It started three times using jumper cables, but then stopped that also. What should i check? Thanks.
You know what VERY famous? You take your car to the DEALERSHIP for a "recall" or 2 and then they tell you it doesn't need it after all... but do an 80 point inspection "for free" and the next day you get a ENGINE LIGHT code. Classic.
I have a pre-collusion light on too, took it to the leadership. They did diagnose 3 hours charged me $600 for diagnosing only and were asking $4000 to repair, this is what they found in diagnose. Can u suggest how could it be fixed? Wiring Harness: FOUND PIGTAIL HARNESS TO FRONT RADAR SENSOR ALL WIRES REPAIRED. WIRES TO FRONT RADAR SENSOR ARE SHIELDED NEEDLE HIGH SPEED WIRES. MEANING THERE IS METAL SHIELDING AROUND THEM ONCE THEY ARE BROKEN THEY CANNOT BE REPAIR PIGTAIL HARNESS HAS TO BE REPLACED. ALSO FRONT RADAR SENSOR WAS REPLACED FROM ACCIDENT. IT IS A COMPUTER ANY IMPACT TO SENSOR CAN CAUSE INTERNAL DAMAGE. BEST TO START WITH REPLACING PIGTAIL HARNESS AND FRONT RADAR SENSOR.
I just but a chr thinking toyota were great, now i have all those dam lights on Even says engine problem and wont run fast. I should hot a honda and not this crap
We have a 2003 focus which had ABS and brake lights on in the dash..It had an ABS code B1342 and the abs was not functional.I saw and researched so many forums for clear advice as to whether we would have to reprogram a used ABS control module becuz of it having a different VIN#...What I found was conflicting advice, with some people saying it was plug and play no coding needed at all and others saying they had to reprogram it...I got fed up with speculations and orderede off ebay, a controller that was from the same yr focus and had the same part numbers on the controller as well as same software #'s.. I bolted it in ,fired up the car, saw the abs lite still on and checked the codes...there was no longer the B1342 code, thank God, but instead I saw a code for a wheel sensor and one other for low battery...no codes came up as far as Vin# ... I decided to clear the codes and rerun the test since battery was fine and wheel sensors all checked ok previously... after clearing the codes, I turned the key and no more abs or brake lites on the dash...I ran the scanner again and no codes at all for ABS system.....I test drove the car, did some panic stops and confirmed the antilocks are working properly no skidding and I could hear and feel the abs pump briefly during the stops...I share this result becuz so few people ever seem to post resolutions to such issues... they come into forums, ask for help, some say they fixed the issue and then dissapear not sharing How they did it.. WTF?so in a nutshell, Its obvious that some cars can do this swap of the controller and its plug and play... why the contradiction? probably becux the controller I chose was an exact match,not just one from a span of yrs that could be made work on the car.. 2nd, it was an older car and 3rd, it did Not have traction or stability control in the abs... cars that Do have it may need to be programmed and well as general matche d modules from other yrs , I could see why that would be needed especially if the software versions are Not identical.. Anyway hope this helps Som others who were seeking clear advice but found nothing but confusion and contradiction... I sure would have appreciated a post like this when I was scouring the web for any help.

I need to have this done but dont want to give the toyota shop 600 dollars (obviously dont have the 3grand for a programmer) can i get a key and brain box and swap it in? What reads the signal from the key?

I programmed the ignation part of my after market key for Toyota Camry 2015 ,but for some reason I can not program the remote! Which part of the key is responsible for the remote the chip or the FCC ID?
