Praised by top coaches around the world, Swing Catalyst is the preferred video analysis software, offering all the tools you need to fine-tune the golf swing.
My engineering mentor would frequently say "don't confuse me with data, show me the graph." This video shows downswing graphs of force onto foot plates that is common to some 100 tour players. The graphs define three stages of the downswing sequence, and where each of these take place. The relationship between post up and release and the clubhead velocity it generates, completely clarifies the swing. This video is the among the best in golf on RU-vid. Very well explained. Thank you.
Price and pre-order details will be announced shortly along with a comparison chart vs. the Dual Motion Plate. The main difference beside size and weight is that the Portable Force Plate does not have the pressure heat mapping and the load capacity is lower. Force data has a 1000hz sampling rate on both devices /Nils
What a fantastic video. I'm a center poster and nothing was mentioned on how to further develop torque for this instance. Hoping someone reads this. Thanks
It seems to me that what is happening on the downswing is a very effective use of inertia ( lag pressure ) by sustaining the acceleration. Homer Kelly says: make the club head heavy. Excellent video and thank you. F.
Either is perfectly doable. Clockwise means the face is open and requires more arm rotation to square the face, anticlockwise eliminates this problem but requires side bend to correct the path.
I had watched hundreds of PGA Pros in the past ten years, only Dustin Johnson and Justin Tomas tilt back the leading leg and straighten it promptly. Otherwise, both legs are bent at impact, and straightened after impact when the ball flys far away.
We are driving the club head not the club itself. There are two parameters for the shaft: fle & torque, the index means the resistance against these powers. Flex means to bend the joint, but can be thought as along the shaft axis line, that made by changing the relative position along the shaft axix, that could be analog to joint extetion. Torque created from the spinning of the shaft axis by changing the front/back position to offset the club head from square to the setting angle. Based on biomechanics, any part of the body that further away from the objects are just used for supporting and regulation purposes!
When he keeps repeating that he’s the dumbest guy in the room. It becomes very cringe. I’m sure he might’ve gotten some laughs from his friends at one point but it’s not funny anymore.
The weight shift and torsional forces, must surrender to gravity, by taking one's centre of mass off vertical. We must not try to rotate, as we have a free ride ! Other than this : great presentation: well done guys 😂
The main difference is the size, weight and price point. These plates can be carried around and set up pretty much anywhere, and despite their compact size, the plates match the pressure density of our single balance plate and provide high data accuracy at 140 Hz. You mentioned how to use vertical forces more efficiently, but you didn't mention that you have to start lower or to move down before you move up to move up.
Hello sir ,I watch all your videos with Brenden, and swing catalyst and I would like to to ask you a question regarding Juniors ,maybe you posted this somewhere and I missed it, We live in Puerto Vallarta Mexico and have no access to to swing catalyst, YET , We have some talented kids between 11 and 14 all very good golfers. The all have lots lots of lateral ,they all leave their arms behind them in transition get stuck , blocks ,bad contact ,fats have you seen a pattern with juniors ? does adding verticals help ? I know everyone is different from what we can see on video adding verticals helps on video , sorry for the rant if you have a minute would love to hear your thoughts, Warm Regards RM
Dont know how to push off using vertical force since max ap force has applied, by now pressure should be at the midfoot or at the heel?Should we push off right after we move the pressure point back to the ball of the feet first.Confusing
I thought you were clearly REAR POST ?when listening to the several seminars you’ve done with Mike and Terry it seemed like it was referenced as a foregone conclusion
Enjoy your videos Scott. Have used the plates but have a question. What is the best way to achieve optimum sequence and force generation as a rear post golfer who is left leg dominant?
Why is impact in the video always earlier than the line in the force graphs? Is the measurement on the graph at video impact the real impact measurement ? Or would the line still be accurate (after impact in video)
I have always had a longer swing little run off but before I really start down I get in good position as I have shifted to lead side I jump better with a normal jump style rather then starting from the down position is it possible that I need it? Thanks I seen your BBG video on it wondering
I'm curious to know, if I'm hitting off a soft mat or mushy ground that my vertical ground force is compromised. The ground will not react egually with my downward force, it will absorb it?
Very helpful webinar- thank you! Have you released an integration for the GC3? In this video it sounded like it was not ready yet, but this video appears to have been posted more than a year ago. Thanks for any insights!
This is incredible. The crazy thing is that no one taught this to these pros. Swing Catalyst wasn’t around then and you couldn’t see this on VHS! They all do something or move in a similar and I’d imagine this is really a byproduct of that move.
