As a person who loves watching stuff start up and shut down i found this extremely amusing... especially since it's not every day you see a massive Barco 2K projector and Doremi DCP2000 server startup
So sad to see these landmarks burn to the ground. Reminds me of the day I watched the KG burn down in Melville. Town was never the same after that. Sorry for your loss Kamsack.
@@randyschneider6086 Good day, I've seen it in northern mining towns too. Things start slowing down fires start and the business owner and town fade. It was a historic hotel which at one time boasted it's own generator before the town had electricity. This is a direct result of Centralization. The destruction of rural communities across Canada.
@@dustyhedger380 and the incompetence of federal leadership will push every one back to small towns, self sufficiency was Canadian culture that they had spend 60 years trying to kill off.
@@Refertech101 The rural farms were stripped of its youth starting in the 30 s to feed a growing industrial boom. Then by the 60 s it was for good paying jobs and to fuel the growing eastern machinery, the promise of an education giving you a good job and wealth are long gone. Unless you can land one of the unchecked Liberal gov't contracts. That being said the cost of living in the large cities should be a logical conclusion to reviving small communities and bringing investments back to many provinces,, but I do remain hopeful. Take care.
The land its filmed on u can only go as far as I have in the video. Most is filmed in Calgary in studio. I'm not sure exactly if they have tours or anything. For me it was just exploration and see what I can find haha but I hope you get to see it for sure!
My niece is married to a cowboy and my nieces in-laws have over 160 acres, where they’re located just up the road was an area where a piece of land was used in the show of heartland. It had the camping trailer that Caleb lived in for sometime well it’s no longer there but it was exciting to see. For me to go to my nieces place where her and her husband and two little ones live, you have to take stony trail going west and then it connects you to 22X. It’s now winter in Calgary. The temperature right now is -22 and the windchill feels like -32. Best time to come visit is when it’s spring, summer, fall, unless you can handle our winter, which gets pretty fiercely cold. I just learned yesterday that we have a cold front coming in and it’s not good. The temperatures will be high up in the -30s so that means if you’re outside your fingers will freeze instantly so it’s best to dress warm. ☺️
slow reply , but yes its a beautiful area. I didnt get to see the trailer myself as it was already gone when i went but i know the exact area you are talking about. starting to warm up so people can start to go check some places out for sure haha
The OS is on it's knees to play the damn movie, i'd be so mad if i've had to operate such a slow thing. Like, you just clicked on 'play' and the whole thing gives you a grey box and freezes up... Nice setup.
