If you cover lower vent up like that, fire will starve. Looks like you have never used it-why not use it at least 5 times before you start doing science experiments on it?
I'm wondering how these could be applied to V&H Longshots without ruining the heatshields. That's the only thing holding me back from trying those things. Any info would be appreciated. Seeya
Ive ran HK big straights in the past no bluing whatsoever . ironically I just installed a set of 3" big straights on my Roadstar 1700 yesterday they sound brutal wouldnt even think about removing the baffles ride safe !
Made 3 lollipops for my tab performance with zombie baffles and my old D and D 2 into 1 side burner exhaust with a straight thru baffle on my old fatboy amazing how well it works just finished my 2018 street glide special to cold out right now to ride but there still loud as hell at idle the washers I used leave around half and inch space all around the hole drove my fatboy and it's amazing how much better it sounds and the power increase and it use to have D and D fatcat exhaust .
I like Honda but they will never sound good. The only Honda that sounded good to me with aftermarket exhaust was the Honda Fury. Not knocking your bike. It is sharp.
Confused. You had your pipes gutted and now you think they're too loud? What did you expect? Lollipops are not to reduce the loudness and won't. They do reduce decel pop and slightly increase back pressure. BTW thread locker will last about 1 minute under the heat of the exhaust.
There is an Echo Chamber which of about 12" inside the heatshield as the exhaust pipe is approx 12" shorter inside the Heatshield and I think that is the main reason of being too loud. I think you mentioned extending the exhaust pipe to another 10" or so before putting the Lollypop at the tip end. The heatshield being open from the bottom and from the frame facing side can't let you create the backpressure but may still reduce the big Echo environment. After extending the Exhaust pipe to another 10", did you notice the reduction of sound? Please advise as I have these on 2007 Yamaha V Star 1100 and just way too loud...
Tell me I have a 2021 Harley Davison 2021 trike with stock mufflers can a take what is inside and add those lollipops with not affect my bike performance, thanks
I had a set of hard krome on a Vulcan 2000, extremely loud, put a set of end cap baffles on, quietened down enough to be bearable yet had the same sound......cost about $35 more than your lollipop. It was easier because I didn't need to drill any holes, they replaced the end caps
@@paulmcgathey857 I don't remember, thought off Amazon but can't find order, maybe it was off leatherup before they ruined the site Amazon does have some about $12 for 3in OD, probably just as good
I ended doing my own baffle mod to these to quiet them down and get rid of the ear-piercing twang they make ($20 in parts). If you want to quiet down your pipes without ruining the sound, give this a try: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R5bFqV_nxpU.html

That is so heavy it probably will crack the wall of the pipe and fall out! Holes should be in the bottom so there is no weight on the side wall! I have seen that happen, hopefully it won’t though! I don’t think you should use these and baffles to,to much back pressure!sounds awful! I think you should have used cobra pipes.I saw some cobras on a Honda 1300 and it sounded great! You can buy these thunder torque inserts from DK customs and they work great! What I like about them us you can put them in any pipe whether it’s curved or not! My Harley has goose neck pipes and these lollipops work great, best sound ever!
*It's really light **lnfo.help/AcerAspire?yɛ** so I take it to class every day without much hassle. It's all plastic but still has a nice clean look. I've found that the battery lasts about 5-6 hours. However, I usually keep it plugged in while I use it. I would definitely buy this again.*
Did it, helped with the backpressure / response and sound. Thank you A LOT for your creativity (i was about to buy a welder to do this). By the way, here some more info: www.tabperformance.com/Reduce-Back-Pressure-Exhaust-s/203.htm
to remove galvanization from the star nuts and electrical box plates you can soak them in vinegar for a while. sand them to help accelerate the process. look on youtube on removing zinc galvanization. i would sand the cover plate and maybe hit it with hi temp enamel and keep them away from direct contact with the coals. definitely need a top draft vent. it can run wide open so might not need an adjustable vent up top. pretty cool ideas. i love smoker mods.
I would paint them before installing them in the pipe. They're bigger than I expected, taking up a lot of space inside the muffler. Does the added back pressure give you more low end torque?
just learning about this lolli pop trick. have cobra cruiser slashcuts on my vl800 Suzuki and they are giving me headaches. at idle and low speed sound great but at cruising speed so annoying. will look into this. also, no offense but I have learned no matter what you try you cant make a 1100 sabre sound good. rock on
*I love my new Weber grill.>>>**t.co/z8JwowWznk** Many years I owned one but got lazy and purchased a gas grill. I am happy to once again be grilling with charcoal. I also purchased a rapid fire chimney starter so as to not use lighter fluid. The kettle of mt grill was damaged upon arrival but after 1 phone call to WEBER I received a new one in 3 days*
Those appear to be to restrictive. I think you should use smaller washers so you let more of the exhaust get by and will sound better. There should be about 1/2" around the outside of the washers to let enough of it go by. You should also re-adjust the air mixture screws in the carbs so it runs right. Anything you do with intake or exhaust will effect the carbs on way or another.
I'm probably a day late and a dollar short but for what it's worth: I did the memory upgrade some years ago and last summer I upgraded to W10. It runs fine but won't win any prizes! I've just (March '18) added 2 more GB of RAM making 4 total and fitted a SSD. I'm quite impressed - again, no prizes but it can keep up with the pack...booting up from power off to usable in 35 secs.
