Fireworks are legal here but we have lots of hills and trees everywhere that grow 20 meters tall, or more, so there aren't that many places to look out across town like that.

Yeah, this fissure is directly north of Grindavik and the eruption is likely to destroy a good portion of the town. Not suitable for humor or celebration of an opportunity to see another eruption IMO.

Your video is a trip down memory lane for sure, circa 2021. Now we wait and hope for the safety of the people of Grindavik, as well as the safety of the infrastructure of the Blue Lagoon and Power plant in what MAY be the 4th eruption, but in a populated area. These are tense days for sure...for all concerned.

The experts released an updated danger map a few days ago showing the area where a new fissure could potentially open up. Have they said what the chances are of that actually happening?

We saw one side collapse. Do you think you could outrun a wall of lava coming towards you? Be careful and stay safe.

There is no shoring up or shield on the north wall, so it could slide out like the west side did at any time. You and others should not be on that side of the cone.
