Best video on here, my abdominal hysterectomy for very large fibroid where I will be having a verticle incision, is next month I am so scared. I read that the uterus holds your posture in place and your shape and posture changes when the uterus ligaments are no longer there. Did you experience this?
@kristinaelliott8335
@kristinaelliott8335 2 года назад
Not at all. My posture is same as before. Nothing really has changed besides no periods. Don’t read too much info or you’ll drive yourself crazy. You’ll be fine. I’m happier now. Smaller tummy. No bleeding. I workout and do everything is as normal like before. Leave it in Jesus’ hands and He’ll take care of you 💖

@@ddl4374 I'm from NZ but it was easy. It was a big cut, my surgeon said my uterus and fibroids was one of the biggest he's seen. It was so big I had to have a verticle incision with staples. I woke up in recovery and the pain felt like a very bad period but they got the pain under control in recovery. I had injections into my surgerical wound twice a day for pain relief for a few days and then straight to panadol. They were amazed. I was up walking up and down the corridor the day after surgery with my catheta and drain. Because the uterus was so big I had alot of bleeding into the drain but they controlled it. The surgery was easier than I thought and the nurses were amazed at my recovery. If you rest and do a bit of walking as suggested every day you'll be fine. The waiting was worse than the surgery. I rested for six weeks and got a new job two months later. Am loving not having periods, I have my life back. I have a scar but it' s getting better already and he suggested bio oil and was amazed at how well I have healed when I saw him two weeks ago. My advice, get a good surgeon and good anaesthetist and don't believe all the horror stories. It's the team of people in the operating room are the most important and how well you will rest.

Absolutely the bloating feeling is the worst thing ever!!!! Then the other thing is having your drs office tell you hey, we can’t an won’t give you anymore pain pills 💊.. they are afraid I’m going to get hooked??? Are they serious rt now? My guts have been ripped out an I’m dying here and they are afraid of me getting hooked?? I thought if you don’t give me something for this pain someone will get a right hook!!! I completely understand that ppl abuse them but I know my body and I know my pain level in which I can tolerate. I don’t think the state should over rule a doctor!!! I advise anyone who is facing this surgery.. spend sometime strengthening your core cuz sister.. this isn’t fun!! Prayers to all a safe surgery and recovery 🙏✝️💪

Yeah that must be really really tough without pain medication. What town/state are you in from? It’s true, very important to strengthen your abs, your glutes and your tighs before the surgery. You can’t use your abs for the first couple of weeks. You shouldn’t.

My husband and I are empty nesters and your advice on showering at first and how many days I'll need someone with me is especially helpful. I wouldn't have thought to ask to take any undies home. I hope my hospital here in the states offers those too. I'll be sure to eat healthy, rest, and pick up juice and tea, but only drink clear liquids up to 4 hrs before surgery. Thank you so much for sharing everything!

I took some charco pills to help with gas. It really helped. I stayed one night at the hospital. The second night I slept home upright on my bed. Massage and hot pads on shoulders. Lots of hot tea.
