i get confused, im 64 years old, i used to race nesc when i was your age.....RM 125 ......is this middleboro or central village? i used to race both back in the day and when i see them on youtube i cant tell them apart in my mind
1985.....i was running my suzuki rm125 and i had just put boyesen reeds in it......i didnt get a good start and it was my first nesc race ever......novice class of course.......well just when i was climbing up the ramp of the spectator jump, i think its just a jump now, my engine seized......didnt even get one lap in......what had happened is i cut the stops off the reed cage as per MXA's suggestion at the time, but nobody mentioned to round the edges......i left them sharp and the reeds eventually snapped off......the bike ran so much stronger and i was excited.......i pushed my bike back to the van packed up and went home which was 2 hours away.......and my parents were there watching me......that was my southwick experience
its for sure a mans track! i appreciate you sharing your story with me makes me feel a better about my day. Crazy how back then you had to do so much to get so little out of a bike and it was the change you would need! nowadays you can take the bike off the showroom floor and its ready to race.. also 10gs more then before haha! Always enjoy your comments and I appreciate you coming back!
@@Drtyyyy ......yeah i paid 1500 for my RM 125 new......had the suzuki race engine mod done to it and it was fast for back then.....cost 225 bucks......i actually still have the handlebars, had to keep something......i enjoy your vids.....
Thanks man I appriacte it! Took a lot of me not to just cut that out of the video and make it look like im not a human. We all make mistakes or as my buddy would say adults make decisions kids make mistakes. I made the decision ima own it and learn from it.
hey man i was racing that day too. 100% not your fault the track has the worst start in the series. even worse than crow hill cutting thier start in half
yeah dude ill be honest i could have made it that time but the first 250c moto i was top 5 off the start some kid pushed me super wide and i had to go over the berm. It was like ptsd 🤣🤣 they need to slow it down, either make the corner wider or make it a harder corner u actually have to slow down on. What class you race?
i think its a cracked fuel pump in the tank?.....my buddy had the same problem with his 2019......husky changed the fuel pump under warranty and no problems since
If it keeps happening ill have my tech look it, i actually work at a husky dealer lol. But it seems if i ride the bike more like a 125 it doesnt stall, coming off the yami with all that bottom end gave me some bad habits i think hahah
25, how old are you? not sure what age you learn how to read but i started around 3? If you read what i said in the video i realize what i did was wrong, and unlike others i learn from my mistakes and im not embarrassed to show them when there funny and something to laugh at. Title of the video says "dont do this" for a reason.
@@Drtyyyy im 64 years old.....dont do what? get mad at someone who didnt do anything to you?......ive been riding for over 50 years, raced southwick and all over new england when i was your age......now i do a Jday in maine once in a great while in the senior class.......i just wanted to know your age to see how old you were to lose it and that you had to give that other rider the bird.....dont get mad or even......just get back up and pass that guy......thats enough revenge right there
@@Drtyyyy ......i actually turned the video off when you flipped the guy off so i missed that message i could hardly read anyway......everything gets blurry at my age at night
@@Joe-pb3lx your completely right! Live and a learn type thing, dont think ill ever do that again in my entire life. I made myself look like an idiot and i feel like to really embrace that i needed to show that to people.
dont tell me that.... i work at a husqy dealer, my boss has 24 hours on his 23 and it didnt seem to do it while i was riding. I think it could be a few things, and not that its a issue with the bike just a issue of not being used to how the power comes on. It seems like the fcs and sxf's are all top end bikes, coming from a yamaha which basically cut out on the top esp with the map i was running is going to be an adjustment. I need to ride this bike more like a 125 and i dont think itll happen as often. Also my air filter at this current time was not the cleanest hahah. But ill do more research into it, i wont even own the bike for 80 hours which will suck if thats the case.
dam just looked it up looks like you are right, people say its a poor fuel mapping at low rpms and then opening the throttle quickly, basically lacks fuel. Im sure a tuner app would fix that... oh wait
@@Drtyyyy that doesn't make sense tho? Is your clutch loose at higher speeds? And it could be the filter cover bc the Husqvarnas barely get air the grab handles are closed in the Husqvarna where ktm is more open. Does your boss have a customer airflow thing like with the holes? And I think the flame out only happens on the 250s and 350s. And yeah ride it like a 125 feather the clutch a lil there and there maybe it's something to do with the clutch or fuel. Bc ik that doesn't happen on the 250 xcf ktm and 350 xcf 2023-2024 models
how in the world could you even think that was someone elses fault? Hes ahead of you in the turn. Its your responsibility to navigate past others in front of you. He can take whatever line he wants. In a race that would just be smart riding.
Its crazy people will write a paragraph in the comments but cant read a sentence in the video. I said i was in the wrong and im using this as an example of what NOT TO DO. Why the title says "dont do this". Thanks for watching tho!!
This is in goshen. Hes thinking about making a private public track deal where he accepts donations to ride there. Trying to eventually get a p27 or jday there, hes got 500 acres plus the track would be a sweet addition.
Yep looks like the lines come together. That is the tough part with reviewing go pro after and being humbled. Amazes me how many folks you get on the tracks down there. Don't get too many folks on the tracks up here in Canada unless it is Calgary or another super popular one.
Its normal down here, every saturday and sunday theres tons of peoples. And yeah exactly, not scared to get humbled and realize i was in the wrong. Made for a good video too ahha
