Bravo, Dr. has a huge range of skills. Almost all long pips players basically only know how to chop and block to win 'easy' points. Especially at the amateur level, where every ball is blocked and played wide n short to tire out the opponent. 😲.. No wonder long pips players are generally regarded as lazy players (esp. Close to table) with no 'real' skills n dependent on deception to win games. Dr. has brought respectability to this type of play. Especially the aggressive attack strokes that are virtually unheard of. 👏👍..
hi steven, not at the better levels. I am a good long pimples player penhold with long pips on forehand and short pips on backhand. but I hit the ball in attack similar to an inverted player. eg: against blockers and choppers, i am attacking them 3-4 balls at a time with my long pips and short pips. I agree if you are only an intermediate player, those long pips do seem to win easily against you. but at the higher level over 1600 ratings central ranking, Players at that level have no issues with Long Pips, unless the long pips player is also 1600 plus. RATINGS CENTRAL. check out the players rankings on that ranking system. Finally, you actually need more skills to play pimples at the advanced levels than inverted, as it requires lots of practice to be able to attack with pimples. hope that helps you understand pimples better.
@@kavarasings9813 Well said. 👍 As an intermediate player, I often lost to long pips players. But up against advanced level inverted players, they struggled n are mercilessly disposed in straight games with low scores. From my observation, their strengths become their weaknesses. An inverted rubber player with a strong understanding of the characteristic n tactics of long pips play will capitalised on his strong, spinny attacks and strategic pushes to outwit him. Unless the pips player is ranked much higher, his opponent would invariably win. Or unless the advanced inverted player despite his obvious skills has little to no regular playing experience against the pips players. 'Gift' points are what pips players thrived on., from unforced errors. 😉.
thats right steven. long pips players can only bully intermediate players . Another factor you may overlook is that inverted is only suitable for young players below 40. You need speed, agility, acceleration to reach 1600 ratings central rating and above. new older players who just started playing ping pong will never be a good inverted player because of their age. many want to be a hero but progress stops at around 1400 ranking. finally, anyone that complains about pimple players are exposing themselves as intermediate or beginner players under 1400 RC ranking. One last point, most shakehand players over 40 have pimples on their backhand side nowadays. its just how god made us. inverted rubber are for young players up to age 40, unless they are 65 but have been a very good junior in their days. i am old so I am sharing my knowledge with you. people who complain about pimples should try to play with it. it is very hard to master and to become good with pimples. it is not just blocking and forcing errors. advance pimple players can hit the ball at least 12 different ways, swipe, push, block, hit, smash twiddle etc etc that takes skill.@@stevenlee9619

It's so easy for you to block. How do u do that? I just shifted my BH from butterfly super anti to dr. neubauer bison 1.2mm using all+ carbon blade. I had a hard time blocking fast topspin. Either my ball goes into the net, or it overshoots. I tried different blade angles while blocking fast spinny topspin, but i cannot figure it out.
I think in the first place that your blade is too fast. I tried and compared number of blades from def to all+, and I found the slowest and the lightest blade with the most breaking effect I could find. For example Donic Cayman which is rated all+ blade was way too fast for blocking, TSP def classic which is carbon blade was also way too fast even it is rated as def. Joola Black Cat, Butterfly Defense II, Butterfly Matsushita Powerdefense, Primorac - I tried them all and I had little success at blocking. Nothing compares to the control of Tibhar Defense Plus which I would rate as def- blade. I recommend you to try this blade, it is not expensive so I think it is worth to try. And try to block as close to the bounce as possible, while the ball is still rising.
Hi :) I have also tested a lot of blades and Tibhar Defense Plus is the best choice for my push-blocking style. I have correlated it with Easy P OX and the balls are very short with low trajectory as I really like. Unfortunately I have a trouble with a choosing forehand rubber. Most fast tensor rubbers have hard sponge. It`s a good for flexible blades (like Tibar Defense Plus) but I would prefer a medium-soft or medium sponge. Could you recommend a one, please? :).
GTRI Pharmaceuticals how do you like Bison as opposed to Super Anti? What was the reason for changing? I think the Butterfly Super Anti has good spin reversal if not the disruption like Bison? Also, the Butterfly Super Anti is a lot more durable, at least 2 years? How long did the Bison last?
