This is one of the simplest systems I've seen, nothing really complicated. One guy did have a good idea about turn buckles where the cables come down to the "platform" or boards. It would make it easy to adjust the level on your load. I will likely go with a rigid platform but that's easy but your pulley system is very simple. I like it.

Way too steep. I wouldn’t be surprised if the city said tear it down. Not up to code. Pushing someone up the ramp is dangerous and worse going down.

I knew it would work like a toilet I just didn't know you could buy tiny hardware like that.

Talk towards the camera please! Looks like more should have been added at the door because it swings out the other way, so if you are coming up (or going out) the ramp and want to open the door and go in/out, you cannot without 1) stepping off the step and 2) if in a wheelchair, really a problem, not enought turn around area. 3) Please don't use your knees as a cutting table! I bet you scare your mom on the daily. LOL.

Not good...the top corners now act as a stop where you installed the cup holders... Bags are supposed to be allowed to slide off not stopped.

Hey we are using your video as a guide to build a ramp for my grandmaw. She has parkisons and has a really hard time relying on others and her walker to get her in and out of the house. Would you please share more of how you got the angle to notch out for the joist to fit over the stairs and be even with the platform you built?

So now both those parking spaces are blocked

Have system in place to attach the table to the wall and use the lift for so many more things.

Was the battery pack from SideBar? It looks like a 12V 5Amp rechargeable deer feeder battery. They want $140 for their portable battery pack. Just curious if you sourced the battery & connector separately? Edit - I now see your links to the battery & case. What did you use to connect to battery? Did you modify the 12V cables that the sidebar came with to plug onto the small battery?

Samsung appliances in my experience are very poor quality and reliability. In addition, they offer poor warranties (one year parts and labour) and they are NOT transferable which is unusual in the industry. My fridge icebox died and needed to be completely replaced after just 2 years and my stove LCD display started flashing incessantly and needed to be replaced after 3 years. Very sorry I purchased Samsung and i will never do so again - I highly recommend others don't as well. Too many other better brands out there to choose from, including LG for example.

So using track saw works good for cutting bead boards ? I tried with a table saw but unless you have a helper proved to be difficult with an 8 foot length bead board

The person using the ramp can't get in the door because it opens towards them. They can't use the garage door either for a car. This ramp is flawed in several ways making it useless. Especially for a wheelchair. You needed to install the ramp for the other steps. Then the door opens the right way and the garage door is usable. There is no way this is being used.

This is perfect, I have virtually the same setup as you. I was originally thinking of making the door a bookcase, but the pool table is right there and the pool equipment is much lighter than books. The only change I will make is the door “handle”. My door has round handles right now, so I’ll see if I can make the handle into a pool ball that you twist to open the door. Thanks for the video!!

What do you think about Lumary or Govee lights for permanent landscape lighting? I like the idea of not being locked to just white light, but I am worried about these light kits' long-term durability and waterproofing.
