Hello Friends and Nakamas! My name is Olivier aka Olli aka Gomaron. This channel concentrates on the One Piece Card Game, especially on market watch and collecting in general. I also plan to do some booster box openings and showcases. I hope you have fun watching my videos. If you do, please consider subscribing to my channel and I will see you in the next one! Until then, have a good one. Byebye.
I recognised the accent! When i sell on cardmarket, do i not need to put a stamp on my enveloppe? I sold a lot over vinted so there i just print everything out put it in a box or enveloppe and send it over their shipping service, but how do i do this on cm? And do i just send it woth the normal postal service?
Either you put a stamp on the envelope or you let the post office do that. Depending on how much you are selling, it is most useful to have a good amount of stamps ready at home. Cardmarket always tells you how to send the order. Either by normal letter (=stamp), registered letter, parcel, etc. You can also ask your post office if there are methods for you as a private person to send parcels with tracking from your home if you want to avoid the possibly long wait times at the post office.
Alright i see thank you hmm so i lose money on fees for cm and on the stamp everytime i send something, kinds not worth it for low cost cards under 10 i wouldnt even bother😮
I wanted to ask, because I sold a booster box, I am waiting for confirmation that payment has been made and I will send it, but how can I guarantee that the buyer will not deceive me, what if I film it while packing, the shipment will be tracked and signed when received at that time, I be protected from the fact that the buyer would try to deceive me and cardmarket help me if some think like that happens ?
I totally understand your concerns, however one can say that the community on Cardmarket is absolutely honest in >99% of all the cases. If Cardmarket support has to intervene, they usually side with the profile that has the best reputation and reviews. If it is a tie, then they usually side with the buyer (from my experience, no proof). Of course you can film how you pack the parcel and how you bring it to the post office, but it does not guarantee anything because if the buyer shows different (maybe faked) footage, then you would have a problem. But anyway, simply wait until the buyer paid the order and leave him a nice note inside =) I hope this was somewhat helpful!
really helpful video! Do you know how to set your price at the lowest for your country? or do you have to manually search for it and then put that in? thanks
Hello, thank you for this video, it's very informative. I have a question, sorry if it is a stupid one, but you started by stating that it is best to sell for example 4 copies of the same card and not like all 30 or 40 of them at once because I will get "bought out". What do you mean by this and why is this a bad thing? Also, are you talking about bulk cards, for example is it not recommended to list 30 of the same card when that card is a very cheap (2 cent card) or are you talking about more expensive cards, or are you talking about all cards whether they are 2-5 cent cards or worth a couple euro's or even more? Thanks a lot! PS: I am a pokemon card collector.
Inserting a lot of copies (let's say more than 10) at the lowest price point is never a good idea, neither for cheap cards nor for expensive cards. If you really just want to get rid of your bulk, you can do that but most likely in the end, your useful bulk cards will all be bought up and afterwards you are still stuck with the bulk that really nobody wants. Cardmarket takes 2% of the fees or at least 1 cent, so if you are selling cards for 2 cents, you will get one. That is a 50% commission fee which can easily be avoided by selling the cards at 10 cents or more and it will not decrease the amount of orders you get that drastically. Hope this was helpful even 2 weeks after your question^^
No I haven't, but considering past events, my guess would be that OP06 will still be as catastrophic as OP05 and then OP07 will hopefully be as abundant as OP03 on release in Europe.
L opinion, I have master sets and sealed collection but at least each set should get a short reprint or at least blister pack rerelease. Will help viability for a bigger or more diversified scene when you need 3-4 of a lot of cards. Hope you got your erratas.
Do you think it's better to keep hold of Katakuri secret for now because it might go a little higher when OP06 lands or sell it now? I'd like to put that money into OP05 since there're more cards there that I'm interested in. I was debating selling Katakuri Secret yesterday but watching your video I'm beginning to reconsider...
It might go a little higher, because yellow support in st13 is simply outrageous. But one can never know when the peak is^^ I personally would keep them.
@@GomaronOPCG I'll consider it I guess. I'm not playing yellow and I'm afraid the card will drop sooner than later when other sets will introduce new mechanics. I know it looks pretty lame that I'm trying to get as much money for it as possible but I need money for other cards. Also this Katakuri Secret is pretty much worthless when it comes to collectability so holding it long term may not be a good idea. When some other deck top yellow it'll drop significantly.
You can't expect OP-01 to be available infinitely for retail. I don't think the prices of this particular set are inflated. With each passing year OP01 should be more expensive. Initial print run of the OP01 was pretty small compared to the demand because Bandai didn't know how popular this brand is. There was also print 2 and 3 but as it turns out it's still not enough since people want to have 1st set in history of OP sealed. Not to mention there're some people who want to open "older" sets on RU-vid. What is happening on cardmarket sales and why there's always set amount of boxes available -> some people buying and the same people are selling again with higher prices. I assume collectors who wanted to have some boxes sealed for themselves already got their pieces and now it's resellers market and they're testing waters to see how far they can stretch the line.
Nobody expects op01 to be available for retail for years but 10x-ing your money within a year is also not the way a healthy market is supposed to behave. There are a lot of driving forces for the heavy price increase in october which I mainly cover in my previous market watch video. The slow increase in op01 that is happening now has surely also something to do with resellers you mention but don't underestimate the amount of people hoarding sealed product.
I loved the video. Is it possible to identify if the cards are first edition or not after opening the pack? I got a Shanks manga card, but I'm not sure if it's a reprint or not. Regards.
There is a very inaccurate method with the color shade of the back of a card because cards from the reprint version tend to have a lighter blue-ish shade. But you can always find first print cards that have the same lighter blue shade and also reprint cards with a darker blue shade. Meaning that you can find a probable tendency for your card but no guarantee at all. I hope this information is of any help to you!
I personally do not believe that they will release another big reprint wave of the set Romance Dawn. Though I am pretty sure that bandai will reprint the more popular single cards from the set multiple times with different artworks. That way, they can make players as well as collectors happy.
You are probably right! It will be interesting to see how we will look back at first print boxes in 10 years or even more (assuming the card game survives that long)
On the european platform cardmarket, we can't even buy from the united states (it isn't listed at all). And for my videos, I will mostly concentrate on the european market as I have little to no clue what is happening overseas. But it is a very good point, thank you!
