I think you are the ONLY one who mentioned the 2 locations for reception and ceremony addresses. OF COURSE 🤦🏾♀️ it maybe common knowledge but it’s an easy to looked passed detail! Thank you for the reminder. ❤
I don't know if it would work better or the same. I just found that I wasn't blogging because of the extra steps it took to upload all the photos to my blog vs just having that step already done in Pic-time. Just seemed more efficient for me 👍
It doesn't for me since they generally don't know exact numbers when they are booking me. When we do their timeline call 4 months before their wedding and if we feel like we need more time for photos, then we discussing adding coverage then.
I cannot get enough of Mystrika is comprehensive analytics feature. Being able to track open rates, click-through rates, and reply rates has allowed me to refine my outreach strategies and improve my response rates. The A/B testing feature is also a huge plus, allowing me to experiment with different subject lines and content to optimize my campaigns. Mystrika truly takes the guesswork out of cold email.
Thank you for this amazing video! Question: I don’t feel safe posting my personal address on google business, is your full address visible when you create google business?
Thanks for the information shared. What I liked most about this video is it’s uncut 😊… such a great reminder for someone struggling with perfection. Thank you!
Don't say "muddy skin tones"...sounds racist...blacks and hispanics have "muddy" skin...instead, say "darkened skin", or "flat lit skin"...I know you did not have bad intentions, but be careful how you word things. :-). PS A hispanic, muddy faced person. :-)
Definitely a crazy story and very unprofessional of that coordinator. Hopefully she learns from it. One of the most bizarre wedding photography stories I have had, was that I was hired by another photographer to be a 2nd shooter for a wedding. We messaged back and forth and spoke on the phone to go over details. We confirmed I was supposed to arrive at the venue (ceremony site) at 2:00pm. The morning of, he calls me and says he actually wants me to be at the hotel for getting ready photos at 10am. It was a 90 minute drive for me to get to the venue to begin with, and I was not at all prepared for a last minute change of plans the morning of! We even had a contract with the start time etc. I manage to rush and get to the hotel, and the bride said "oh good, the photographer is finally here, so we can get some pictures." The "lead photographer" guy who contracted me was already there, so I thought that was strange.. he said hi etc, and told me he wanted me to get some photos of the bridesmaids. I started taking photos and then saw the "lead photographer" with a video camera going around and videoing. I figured he was probably just taking a clip, like hybrid shooting and then would step in as the lead photographer. We later drive to the ceremony site and I chat with him asking where he wants me for the ceremony, and he said "do whatever you usually do." Basically he lied and hired me under false pretenses as his 2nd shooter, without once mentioning I was actually the lead photographer and he was a videographer! I was paid as a 2nd shooter rather as a lead photographer as well. He also had initially said he would buy my card off me with the photos and he would do all the editing (I even had bought a new card just for that purpose). At the end of the night he said he wanted me to edit the photos and send them to him via drop box. I wouldn't have taken this gig if I knew I would have to edit it, since I was already too busy to take on another job that required editing. It was far from ideal to say the least!
I purchased Smart Albums Lifetime Licenses for a lot of money and then they moved to the subscription model and knee capped the latest version I had so I couldn’t cloud proof. It’s my opinion they are a greedy and dishonest company. I would not support them after they did this to me and probably hundreds if not thousands of professional photographers. Find a great proofing solution, but please, do not choose SmartAlbums.
I like for my customers to be able to pay a little or as much as they want up until 2 weeks before the wedding. Is a way to set that up so that they can have a choice of when they can pay?
I'm not sure if clients can login and pay whatever amount. I'm sure you could message Honeybook and ask. They've always been very responsive to any questions I have.
For full resolution photos, I resize to at least 6000 px and then upload those to the vendor galleries. Pic-time automatically resizes the images for web size downloads. I don't typically email photos since the high res images are too large for email attachments.
Hillary, thanks so much for the excellent review. I'm a serious amateur and enjoy doing landscape, nature, street, grandchildren sports, and family events. I'm not sure I need full frame but the z6ii is one I've considered. Also looking at the Fugi XH2 and OM1. For FF, why would you recommend the Nikon z6ii over the Sony a7iv? Would the z6ii be a good "all round" camera for a serious amateur?
I'm not familiar with Sony, so I can't give a true comparison. In general, I don't think price tag for full frame cameras are worth it unless you shoot on it all the time. I used a crop frame camera for my first couple years of business and it worked great!
@@HillaryMuelleck I don't understand why some of the phtos bleed to the very edge of the page - do they have designers to catcher errors like this, or is it just an oversight on your part? It looks terrible. Thanks for the video, very imformative!
