I watched for the Lighting hookup. So here, you say... 'just EXTEND these two wires'.. so, like what? HUH? What does 'just extend these two wires'.. mean? Pull on them... and stretch em longer? As Emily Latella said... nevermind. Thanks.
I've had the 2014 3.5L for 10 years and while there are some neat things, there are also some questionable design choices. For example the locking differential switch with the 4WD knob tends to go bad. When it does, it essentially locks the differential. The switch is easy to replace and costs about $40, but the issue of locking it when the switch fails is poor design. Also the water pump has a plastic impeller which tends to break. Those are two examples of poor design that when they fail can put you on the side of the road. I'll never own another Ford truck.
The hidden USB port(s) has limited current supply. It cannot power my dash cam, resp. my GPS. --Btw. I couldn't figure out for what the second port is used.
278k on my 13 ecoboost. I pull 9,000 lbs 500 miles a day, 3-5 days a week since new. No issues what so ever. I’ve had great luck with this truck. Will buy new eco when it hits 300k
DO NOT buy the harness of them. These guys are crazy with thier prices 180$ for a harness! I just build one exacly the same harness by getting the parts from local shop and everything did cost me 30$! Gentlemen build your own harness and save your money.
