I guess whenever you tell the Cantonese speakers that you want to learn Cantonese. They will appreciate a lot, but the next minute they will tell you it's very difficult, almost like a mission impossible. So at the end you try to memorize few expressions by heart or simply give up.

Oh this makes so much sense! I’m used to Mandarin, and I was getting so confused watching Cantonese RU-vid videos when they would use measure word or 啲 instead of 嘅~ it’s even more confusing because usually the subtitles use mandarin grammar and just use 的 for all of them 🫠 明白，唔該老師😊
I like to think of 都 as "all" as it's used in Mandarin ☺ (actually I noticed a lot of structure is similar, like "I will not tell your secret to give anyone to listen" reminds me of Mandarin)
