Hey, I bought the licensed copy and have been using it for the past week. It’s a powerful tool and the principal is amazing. However, I have a few issues. Firstly it crashes multiple times when opening and every time when closing. I end up having to force quit. I use Mac with the latest OS system. Secondly, I have gone through the menu and have the layout setup exactly how I want it each. I then save the layout but every time I close the software down and reopen it, many of the layout preferences aren’t saved and I have to redo them each time. Very annoying. A feature I would like to see is. When choosing a beat from the selection available, I would love an option to slow it down. Say from 90bpm to 60bpm. Is this possible. Apart from that, I’m really happy with the software. Cheers 🤜🏻
@sxatch_official Exactly, this is why this video contains a mistake: there's no transformer in the Aquaman, only two chirp clicks. Rest of the motion is open fader
The Scratch Visualizer seems to be a very useful educational tool. Looking at the video though I think there is a substantial mismatch between the platter position and the clicks. You can see it in Babu's 2 click flare performances (0:43). The clicks are displayed too early. I guess this system would require a calibration step given that the platter position is determined via audio (with it's intrinsic delay) while the x-fader position is registered via midi (much less delay).

People wanting automatization and drawable plugin for Ableton (or any other daw since it’s not maxforlive based) just get the scratchtrack plugin from stagecraft software and enter the future… of ten years ago.
I'm about to join your patrion to try the scratch visualizer app. What language are you using to code it in? It says we can join the development channel so just checking in advance to see if it's a language I use
@@djorig thanks for the concern. i've since discovered that it's meant to work with a mixer connected to vinyl. Controllers won't have anything like this unless serato works on it themselves
As both a musician and comp sci major thats starting DJing, The creative implications of this is mind altering. How are you guys so slept on? I can't wait until Scratch Visualizer releases!
I am confused. That appears to be a great product but no one can get it! Where is your website? Where is the link? Is it going to be on Ableton’s website? Not enough information provided to potential buyers of this product. Other than that it seems cool and I’m interested!
Thanks for your feedback. The Fade 1.0 application will drop very soon. DVS Modulator is also in the pipeline. Would be great to welcome you as a Patron as you get more insights.
Thank you for these videos! Super helpful breakdowns. I like how you describe your thought process when doing the cut and what you focus on. Fantastic visualizer.
Holy wow thank you for this! I have been focusing on learning and improving the boomerang scratch from a closed fader start for about 3 weeks and got it down decent. I saw this on your Instagram and I not only doubled the speed at which I was doing my closed fader boomerang, but I picked up the foundation for the Aquaman. And you just did a video on that too! This visualizer is really handy and down the road I'd love to see some question answer style practice stuff using this graph. Super cool potential here for this visualizer. Thank you for these videos!
@@sxratch_official Cheers, once I really nail the Boomerang and Aquaman cuts I'd love to see a visualization of the Prizm Scratch on this tool. Thanks again!
