You're welcome, @khadijahkhan2991. I'm glad you found the video helpful. You can refer to this other video about the best treatment approaches for eye bags that are caused by prolapsed orbital fat - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-46Kp6ayfyzg.html
Hi @Hello-by7kg, In my opinion, low level light is a very limited hair loss treatment that won't get the results you are looking for. I made this video about it, for your reference - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ozrIq7fO0FM.html
Hello, my doctor recommended hyaluron because I have deep dark circles under my eyes and you can even see my tear trough. However, I don't dare do it because of the many risks and I don't want to do it because I'm still young. I'm 19. Would prp or prf work in my case? maybe also with the co2lasr
Hi @Niloshhh3, I usually don't recommend treatment for people your age because the face is still growing, and maturing, and will continue to until the early 20s. Issues like hollowness under the eyes that show dark circles can be outgrown during this time. I normally suggest treatment in the early 20s at least after the face has stopped growing, and the issues still persist. I hope this clarifies things for you.
@@AmiyaPrasadMD could i use prp? Because i think i have genetics eye circles. Since i am Young. But i need to do something because i always look so tired. Hyaluron i dont want
Hi@@Niloshhh3, I hope you understand that in order to recommend specific treatments for you, I would have to see you in consultation like your doctor did, especially since you are younger than the minimum age of my usual patients.
Hi Dr, I am 16 and my hair is thinning at the crown but my hairline has been the same as it always has, is this due to male pattern baldness or another condition?
Hi @anoshgeorge7973, 16 is a bit young for male genetic pattern hair loss. I suggest you have a scalp examination for a proper diagnosis. If you can't see us for an examination, you can see a local dermatologist for consultation. I hope this helps you.
What do you say about the new research that shows HA fillers stick around for pissibly ever? I was told my undereye filler would last 6 months to maybe 9 months. It's still there 16 months later now! It still looks good, so I'm not complaining, but i'm worried it will one day migrate or look weird? I get sculptra for global facial filling because my face was very gaunt before it. It's still thin but looks healthier for sure.
Hi @monicastraub3372, It is possible for HA fillers to encapsulate and last longer than expected. Even in these cases, the filler material can still be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Hyaluronidase injections do require experience, and expertise when filler reaches deeper levels. You can refer to this video about it- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--xepTFX83Lc.htmlfeature=shared
Hello doctor, it's been 3 months after my hair transplant, and today i did PRP for my hair, but the one who performed the procedure rubbed my hair in such a hardly way to spread the plasma, but when i got home i looked at mirror and noticed that some of my hair disappeared, was this rubbing damaged my folliculs to fall or what?
Hi @azula5607, It is highly unlikely that rubbing your scalp damaged your follicles. It would take a surgical instrument to dislodge grafts this long after hair transplant surgery, so even aggressive scalp rubbing will not dislodge grafts. That said, it’s important to note that hair transplants don’t stop progressive hair thinning, and hair loss. You should have scalp injections done by an experienced professional so needles are not too close to hair follicles to avoid potential damage. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi @MuhammadHasnain-y6n, I hope you understand that the upper eyelids blink thousands of times a day, every day. This is a lot of accumulated wear and tear on the levator muscle that lifts the eyelid, as well as surgical repair. People born with eyelid ptosis should expect more than one ptosis surgery in their lifetime. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Thank you for this video. I had this type of surgery this morning. Blepharoplasty, Putterman technique for both eyes addressing age related ptosis and tightening of upper brow. Im a bit concerned because of the severe swelling. I am using cold compresses and my head and shoulders are elevated. I will contact my doctor tomorrow if my eyes are swollen shut.
Hi @kimbers3112, It’s still very early after your surgery. It is right to follow up with your surgeon to make sure there are no issues with healing . You can refer to this video about the normal healing process after eyelid ptosis surgery- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gbufMchPcoc.htmlfeature=shared
Sir i did this procedure few month back and now there is still little swollen below the bags,it's been like 36 days and i am worried about it.. It's just like a bag,
Hi @samratadhikari6266, Sorry to hear about your problem. You should first follow up with your surgeon, who can examine, and diagnose the issue. I would have to perform a physical examination of your lower eyelids to give you a proper second opinion. I hope this helps you.
Hey Dr. Prasad, I see PRP treatment for hair lost , is there any chance can use PRP from eyebrows grow ? I know people hair transplant to eyebrows , let's say not everyone want to moves hair they already have. does PRP work for eyebrows ? Thank you
Hi @VitaminCici, I don't administer PRP alone for hair loss as effects are limited, and many treatment sessions are required. However, our TrichoStem Hair Regeneration treatment with extracellular matrix by ACell as the main ingredient, and PRP as the activator has been used to thicken eyebrow hair. While eyebrows are not featured in the video, you can refer to this video about how our treatment works to thicken thinning hair - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-__xVT1sfAa4.html
Hi @Aritra_Karmakar, It isn't possible to answer that question as there are no statistics for it for all surgeons in a specific country, or worldwide. Like any procedure, risks are reduced by the experience, expertise, as well as the operating room standards of the specific surgeon. Also, from my experience with patients who insist on tear trough implants, many don't find them comfortable after they've had the surgery. My patients generally find hyaluronic acid filler to feel more comfortable, and natural. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi @Hello-by7kg, You can refer to this more recent video on how we treat hair thinning at the crown - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MOq5fCUCJaA.html
Hi@@Hello-by7kg, Please refer to the video I sent you, as it only requires 1-2 treatment sessions, with results that last 3-5 years or even longer. If you do treatments like PRP, or GFC, you won't get the same results, results won't last as long, and will need constant treatment. You can refer to this video on how our treatment is different from PRP alone or GFC - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vZAGaAssewY.html
Thank you for being honest, tho the new research regarding fillers should be mentioned, with how it lasts up to if not longer than 10 years and even expands and might migrate with time. Continuously massaging the filler into place is very important!
Hi @northa3617, Migration of filler can be prevented by placing filler deeper, at the bone level, where it is held in place by the overlying muscle layer. You can refer to this video about it - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mqRstbLccO4.html If hyaluronic acid filler lasts longer than expected, it can be dissolved. Dissolving filler is another procedure reliant on technique, and the expertise to reach filler in deeper tissue. You can refer to these videos about it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--xepTFX83Lc.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P2a23JIrf6w.html
Hi @bartomiejjarosz5392, The results of Structural Volumizing can last 1-2 years, or even more depending on the rate that you metabolize hyaluronic acid filler. I hope this clarifies things for you.
I had a cryotherapy 2 years ago on warts that appeared on my scalp and it caused hair loss in spots of my scalp. Is it possible that hair will grow back or it is permanently damaged and is there any procedure that will help the hair grow back?
Hi @saifudeenabdullahi8113, It is possible that the hair follicles were damaged by exposure to extreme cold. I suggest you see your dermatologist for a scalp examination. If hair follicles are permanently damaged, there is no treatment that can revive them. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi @trendingvideos8835, Sorry to hear about your problem. It is possible for the stress on the body caused by dengue fever to trigger telogen effluvium, but it's also important to confirm and rule out other causes of hair loss with a scalp examination. If you can't see us for an examination, I suggest you see a local dermatologist for a proper diagnosis. I hope this helps you.
I'm glad to see this video. I'm getting a lower bleph done and the doctor only talked about removing fat and i was wondering if i was missing out without repositioning. I guess it's not necessary
I'm glad you found the video, @thespacesbetweenstudio3346. Often people find the video only after they are experiencing complications from lower eyelid fat repositioning. You can also refer to this video about why lower eyelid surgery is not performed the same way by different surgeons, before making a commitment to a surgeon - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YTTb3ydq550.html
Hi @Princesingh-ss1kw, Sculpting the fat that causes eye bags from the inside of the lower eyelid is safer for patients because it doesn't cut through the eyelid skin, or the muscle that supports the lower eyelid. However, because it is much smaller incision, it is more difficult for the surgeon, which is one of the reasons why most surgeons don't perform this specialized technique. I suggest you seek an eyelid surgeon who performs the transconjunctival blepharoplasty technique over the more common transcutaneous blepharoplasty technique, and insist on no eyelid skin removal. You can refer to this other video about it - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YTTb3ydq550.html
Hello doctor i have a 8cm long 7cm wide tatto on my hand but its not full inked there's lot of empty places so i had my first removal session but my doctor said to me between sessions i need 4 weeks is that healthy do you recommend that and he said that i need 5 to 6 sessions . Thanks so you much for the helpful informations ❤️
Hi @yassineao8388, You do need time for the skin to heal in between sessions. It's also important to keep in mind that lighter colors are more difficult to remove because they absorb less wavelengths of light energy used in lasers. I also hope you understand that I would have to physically examine your skin condition, and the colors of your tattoo before giving you a proper second opinion, so without an examination I do defer to your doctor's judgment. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi @Eric-ph4yw, The patient featured in the thumbnail had an FUT, and several FUEs, and was on finasteride for 5 years in the "before" picture prior to undergoing our injection treatment. The whole point of the video is that hair thickness, and scalp coverage can be maximized beyond several hair transplant surgeries, and after already taking finasteride for years. I hope this clarifies things for you.
I've watched many videos on Lower bleph and nobody seems to be answering a Q that I am looking for. I did my lower bleph 10 days back. I had a fat reposting done to fill the hollow below my eyes. In that area it feels like a marble in there and is looks slightly protruded. I feel other bruising has all gone now, but that ares looks swollen with the fat repositioning. My surgeon says it will go away in weeks. Any suggestion on this, please?
Hi @peacetoall9818 , As explained in this video, it's not lower blepharoplasty that may be the issue, but rather fat repositioning where fat bent with the blood supply can swell. As an oculoplastic surgeon/ eyelid specialist, I don't recommend fat repositioning because it is a problematic procedure for patients. I made an entire video about the issues related to fat repositioning in the lower eyelids, for your reference - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m-_mFe4eWmo.html
Hi @yoyo-ds6to, Rubbing your eyes constantly can damage thin eyelid skin, but it won't cause hollowness, which is usually caused by genetics. While tear trough implants shown in the video do last longer than other treatments, they will eventually not fit your face as facial dimensions become smaller as we age due to facial volume loss. Many facial implant patients don't find implants comfortable once they have them. There is no real permanent solution because our facial dimensions are not permanent, and do change with age. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hello doctor, what do you think about endolifting to treat a malar festoon because it is said that with the fiberglass micro needle it burns what 4s the fat and that it tightens at the same time... it is true
Hi @yesseniamagdalenalopezmira1835, Endolifting is not a particularly useful procedure in my opinion, and it's not the appropriate procedure for treating malar festoons. I hope this clarifies things for you.
You're welcome, @tep3605. I'm glad you found the video helpful. I make these videos so people can make better, informed decisions about medical cosmetic procedures.
Thank you for this helpful video! Since this video was made 3 years ago, I'm curious if you still have the same opinion where facial fat grafting concers, or did this procedure change for the better in the past 3 years? I recently heard about fat grafting combined with prp to nourish the skin with stem cells and to make the fat cells survive longer. What is your opinion about that? Some doctors also say that the injected fat from let's say, the abdomen, doesn't act the same as facial fat. Isn't fat just fat, or is this thought too simple? :)
Hi @Liz-ie7jm, The behavior of grafted fat hasn't changed - it still needs to take to a new blood supply for volume to remain viable, which makes facial fat grafting unpredictable. PRP can certainly help with nourishing fat, but PRP doesn't help grafted fat take to a new blood supply. There are different types of fat throughout the body, such as essential fat which is just behind the skin, fat for calorie storage like abdominal fat, orbital fat that cushions and protects the eyeball, etc. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Doctor, I had my transplant last Thursday night, is now Saturday, when should I start removing the scabs? Is is somthing other than foam that I should use to remove it? Thanks in advance
Hi @sergiuanton5564, It is generally too soon to remove scabs, as leaving them are part of the healing process. You should be coordinating your healing process with your transplant surgeon, as they know the condition of your scalp, the details of your transplant surgery, and can examine your scalp for any issues. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi @luckytech3318, Yes, telogen effluvium occurs in males, and it is possible for the stress on the body from illnesses like typhoid fever to induce telogen effluvium, but this is usually temporary severe hair shedding, and reversible. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi @luckytech3318, Yes, it possible for the stress on the body from illnesses like typhoid fever to induce telogen effluvium, but this is usually temporary severe hair shedding, and reversible. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi @PriyanshiPattanayak-n6p, Sorry to hear about your problem. The area above the upper eyelids should not remain puffy that long after surgery, unless there is more accumulated fat since surgery, or not enough fat was removed in your previous surgery. I suggest following up with your surgeon who did your previous surgery. A second opinion would require an examination of your eyelids, along with reviewing the medical records of your previous surgery. I hope this helps you.

My derma suggested Combination of laser and chemical peel for my chiken pox scars. I have indian tan olive skin tone and i was not confident in doing CO2 fractional laser . When I asked about the possibility of Hyperpigmentation after co2 , they agree to it , but the responsibility lies on the patient , that we have to use sunscreen and careful about post treatment care . So did the ND ,YAG laser first session .
Hi @kvna3048, I generally avoid aggressive lasers for darker skin types, but some lasers have more customizable settings to possibly treat darker skin. The responsibility for avoiding potential hyperpigmentation, and scarring in darker skin is with the skill, and experience of the doctor using lasers and other thermal treatments on people with darker skin, because those ultimately decide a successful outcome, or complications. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi @johnoliverio8729, Yes, the skin pinch is a shallower incision because it is only skin being removed. The transcutaneous blepharoplasty incision cuts through the skin, and the muscle to access the fat pads. The transconjunctival method bypasses the skin, and the muscle, and makes a smaller incision in the membrane called the conjunctiva to access the fat pads. That being said, skin pinch blepharoplasty is rarely needed, as redundant lower skin is not a common issue. Under eye wrinkles should be treated non-surgically first. You can refer to this video about it - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PXMhY90TReM.html
so would you suggest to skip the tuck altogether and just go with the surgery to sculpt the fat bags? or the tuck is ok if performed correctly/conservatively by the right doctor?
Hi @perumina, In almost all cases I recommend no skin removal in lower eyelid surgery. Skin removal is very rarely needed, and just about every doctor who unnecessarily removes skin says they are doing it conservatively, until complications of a skin shortage occur, but then they claim they are not the right doctor to revise it. As an oculoplastic surgeon/ eyelid specialty surgeon, I'm the one who revises these surgeries, and I'm also the one trying to tell people to refuse lower skin removal in the first place. I hope this clarifies things for you.
You're welcome,@@perumina. I'm glad you took the advice to heart. I say it many times, in many of my videos - don't remove lower eyelid skin in lower blepharoplasty because it is the cause of almost all complications with this surgery. Best of luck with your procedure!
It happened 1.5 years ago. I left shampoo on my scalp overnight, and by morning, I experienced severe irritation, burning, and inflammation due to contact irritant dermatitis. My scalp went into shock, and I had to keep my head under water for nearly an hour to relieve the burning sensation. This triggered telogen effluvium but even small hairs that are in anagen phase (anagen effluvium). The hair loss gradually worsened, spreading from my scalp to my eyebrows. There is no visible inflammation on my scalp when examined with dermoscopy,( NO REDNESS, NOTHING), NO ITCHING, NO FLAKES, and they’ve ruled out any form of alopecia. However, when I apply clobetasol (a topical steroid lotion), my hair fall reduces significantly, SO SOME KIND OF (Subclinical inflammation). But once I stop using it, the condition returns ( if not worse). My scalp is full, but even the slightest touch at any time of the day causes my hair to fall. Not just the big hairs which are said to be in telogen phase but small ones as well ( the one in anagen phase) I’ve tried systemic anti-inflammatory drugs, anti-inflammatory diets, but they haven’t helped. I'm hesitant to get steroid injections across my scalp, as their effect is temporary, and sometimes the inflammation can return even worse. Should I consider PRP, since it is said to have anti-inflammatory and healing effects? However, I’ve also heard that some people experience increased shedding months after PRP due to the inflammation. What should I do? If any help you can offer, i would be thankful. Something that could remove this inflammation and heal my follicles. Any doctors willing to help please let me know. Thank You, it would mean a lot.
Hi @123abc-b4r,A Although very rare, fat embolization from fat grafting does carry risk of death. As with any procedure, risks are minimized by the experience, and expertise of the doctor performing the procedure. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hello doctor I was misdiagnosed with PCOS , i was taking spironolactone for 3 and 1/2 month later i knew i was misdiagnosed. After stopping it, within 20 days i have lost half of my hair. I didn't had high testosterone, neither achne or hair problem ,i went to the doctor after being concerned with weight gain, then later on she told me i had pcos. After 3 and half month with the concern of hairfall I went to see another doctor ,the doctor told me my reports looks fine and i don't have pcos . How can I stop my hairfall?
Hi @SheIn-hk3km, Since I haven't diagnosed you for any conditions, I suggest you stop taking medications that were prescribed for your misdiagnosed PCOS, and see if your hair improves. If things don't improve, you will need an examination to determine the cause of your hair loss before treatment can be recommended. I hope this clarifies things for you.
I am 20M and started using minoxidil 5% (been just 10days) due toh hair thinning and loss and It's like genetic as my mother's father and brother are bald. Should I use minoxidil5%+finasteride0.1% tropical? My friend was saying that if I will not use finasteride I will loose hair after 4-5 years gained from minoxidil.
Hi @anshuldhoundiyal9501, It is explained in the video that finasteride is a longer term treatment for men, which directly slows hair thinning; unlike minoxidil where you can lose your gains through hair shedding, and it doesn't treat hair thinning at all. You can refer to this video about the importance of finasteride, especially for men with early onset of pattern hair loss - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fLSB-tE0gco.html
I had fractional co2 laser for my under eyes and actually full face. This is the second round 2 weeks ago. Still some minor white lines under eyes when smiling. Is this normal ?❤. Will the white lines to away?
Hi @pnevlud, More aggressive laser treatments, especially when the top layer of skin is removed or partially removed, do need time to heal. You can follow up with your doctor who can examine your skin, and who knows details of your treatment if you have any concerns. I hope this clarifies things for you.
I sure will. Thank you for responding doc. I’m now in my third week of healing and I think I do see it improving. I guess with this treatment some days may be better then others until things settle down ❤
Thankyou, I’ve been chronically ill from birth due to De Morsier’s Syndrome (septo-optic dysplasia) which has only recently been diagnosed via MRI, along with a lot of other creeping diseases, and I’ve in passing suspected Myasthenia Gravis, so this video has given me something I can take pubmed documents to my doctor to take things more seriously.
