The ‘A common path’ suite of cancer support and advice videos have been developed by the North Eastern Melbourne Integrated Cancer Service (NEMICS) for people who have been newly diagnosed with cancer. They provide people with an opportunity to learn from others who had already experienced a cancer diagnosis and treatment, highlighting how they made decisions, the things they learned along the way, the things that helped, and the things they wish they had known or done better.

I wish I had seen this at the beginning of my journey, but even now it helps so much, especially knowing being tired and having "bad days" even months/years on is okay. Thank you so much for sharing your stories. The story about the lubricant was awesome! Mine is a bit different as I had chemo and radiation first and simultaneously to shrink the tumor, prior to radical hysterectomy, brachytherapy after. Stage 3b endometrial with a large carcinosarcoma. Had an allergic traction after every chemo - first one I went to the hospital in an ambulance. They got less severe as treatment went on but happened every time - one of the worst things for me was knowing it was coming, being terrified and trying not to panic (I couldn't swallow!). Has anyone else has allergic reaction to Cisplatin and/or Lasix?

Have stage 4b endometrial cancer for 2 yrs tonow. Oncologists dropped ball on me several times since first diagnosed in 2018. Just starting chemo. Tried immunotherapy first but it attacked my lungs and nearly killed me. One day at a time. 64 yo. Moving near grandson in a couple/few months. Need to be near family as I can no longer take care of myself 100 %. Lots of fatigue. 💙🕊️

This is a journey, one day at a time. Yes, our feelings are very real. If we can't go or do something it's ok. I do struggle with the guilts of having to cancel some things. Oh well. Sending prayers and good thoughts to each of you….. God bless each of you! I’ve been diagnosed with endometrial hyperplasia….. had to go off my cancer meds as a week from now I’m having surgery to remove atypia cells in my right breast! At first my O.G. Dr. wanted to operate, now 6 months later he’s changed his mind! He did a biopsy it didn’t get the results he thought he would find. Now he says let’s do another biopsy in April of 2024. I’m scared and I’m soon to be 74years old….. I had a d&c in Feb this year, so they could remove the polyp, but now I’d rather just have the hysterectomy, get done and over with! I’m not pleased with my current O.C. Doctor, I’ve started looking for a woman, this one just about ripped me apart, twice, and I feel put me on hold! He intentionally pinched me hard as he was ending the first exam, and during the second exam I felt he used the largest instrument he had and I ended up almost lifting myself off the table.

I Had the biopsy and it did hurt but I kept my mouth shut and didn't complain because I knew it was necessary. Test result is endometrial cancer grade 1, and i'm going to see the oncologist to plan for the hysterectomy. Of course i'm afraid, like everyone else, that the stage will be worse than grade 1 but I'm staying positive and will deal with whatever I need to. I cry when I hear about ladies that are in advanced stages. It isn't fair and I pray and hope for successful treatment and miracles for them. I hope you, dear lady, are still well after a year. To anyone afraid of the biopsy , just get yourself to the doctor and get it done because it may save your life.

I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer Sept 2022. I went through chemo. On my pet scan at the end of March 2023 the cancer spread to several places in my bones. My oncologist wanted me to start taking a chemo pill. Same side effects as the previous infusion chemo I just completed. I refused the chemo pill. I was told about the fenben and started taking it in April 2023. I take 2ml every morning. I add it to my coffee. I had another pet scan in Aug 2023. It showed no metabolic activity. My oncologist said I'm now in remission. I can't say with 100 percent certainty it was the fenben. But I'm still taking it and will continue to.

I'm scheduled for radical hysterectomy September 12th. Due to pelvic pain and pressure for over a year, found issues in uterus. On the third vaginal ultrasound , a young ultrasound tech was persistent in obtaining images. If not for her I would still be hurting with no answers . Im menopause over 4 years. Had 3 cervical surgeries since 2018 due to high grade dysplasia. Many blessings to you. Thank you for sharing❤

January 2nd I awakened to blood soaked pj bottoms. I'm 66. Knew it was not normal and went to emergency for several hours, several tests, then one week later to my gynecologist and had an endometrial biopsy. It came back carcinosarcoma. I was told it was rare and a more aggressive cancer as it gets into connective tissue and muscle. I went home and cried. It wasn't common uterine cancer but something worse. Not that any type of cancer isn't very serious. I've had a laparoscopic hysterectomy almost 2 weeks ago, and except for a weaker bowel movement feel great. I've been told I'll need chemo, no mention of radiation therapy. I had just had blood tests the beginning of Dec 2022 and they looked great (I also have chronic kidney disease.) I'm still trying to wrap my mind around this diagnosis. Thanks so much for this video!

Thank you for sharing your stories. I'm 44 and was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. I have surgery on the 31st of this month and I'm praying it hasn't spread. It's been hard for me to wrap my head around it all. I did discover that for 3 years my white blood count has been high. It wasn't until I got the Dr that I have now that because she noticed she recommended I see a hemotologist. However 12/22/2022 I ended up at the ER because I was bleeding like someone turned on a facet down there. The blood clots were HUGE. It scared the tech that did my vaginal ultrasound. The ER sent me home and said if you pass out come back. They did schedule a follow up with my PCP. She took it all by the horns and got me to a gynecologist and he connected me to my oncologist. I have days where I'm tired of being in pain and freezing cold all the time. My energy is short lived so I do what I can at work and leave early.

I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer and have had a total hysterectomy plus some lymph nodes.Monday, Feb. 6th. I go see my oncologist and find out the results. I feel well, except for a weak bowel, no pain. Like you, I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around this and wonder how I'll do when I start chemo. I have times I feel really down. Was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer End of 2021. I was so scared. But I also know that the bug C and be a little c. Because doctors can do alot t o cure it. I had my surgery for complete Hysterectomy. The pathology report came back and I was stage One, type 2 tumor growth, with cancer only 15 percent into the surface of the uterus. I had no lymph node involvement, and no spread to other areas/ or organs. Because of the grade 2 tumor growth I need to be followed by my gynecologist for three years. I did not need Chemotherapy, thank God. I share my story to give hope to others. Cancer is scary bout you can survive. I was given a book that has changed my life The Metabolic Approach to Cancer which suggests changes for all aspects of my life which I have focused on to make many changes in my life style and has given me hope that the Cancer will not return. I pray for each of you that you are a fortunate as I have been so far.

Hearing these stories time and time again is so heartbreaking when we HAVE the cure… I am no doctor and we all need to do what’s in our best interest.. my story, I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometrial cancer. I was given about a year as it had spread to my lungs . I did 9 rounds of chemo, had a full hysterectomy BUT the entire time (8 months) I was taking Rick Simpson oil.. pure a THC.. honestly, that saved my life. Even my oncologist couldn’t believe I was in remission 8 months later. Do your research ladies. There’s a GREAT documentary called Run from the cure.. Rick Simpson oil.. I know a handful of people that have been saved but this guy has literally cured hundreds of people.. just celebrated a year of remission.. best of luck and best wishes 🥰
