@@laichjify I have just published an overhead demo - link is here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ERAeYDXRfyg.html (might be short while before youtube processes it). I hope it's clear enough. Feel free to ask if you have questions about any of the chords.. have fun!
Can you use multiple midi tracks on digitakt to control and play different patches on the virus? Say midi ch1 controls one patch, midi ch2 controls another patch, etc etc.
Great clip but does the Access Virus Desktop work with MSB LSB PC# (program change) via any sequencer. Just to confirm all 16 channels can be played at once.
Hi, I also have a Digitakt sequence the Virus TI2 desktop. I also have a Midi-Keyboard hooked up to the Digitakt. Unfortunately, it seems the DT doesn't pass sustain pedal (CC #64) through to the Virus. Do you know any solution? I also have a Midi matrix through which I can establish a direct connection btw Keyboard and Virus (which obviously works) but I'd rather go through the DT as my main Midi sequencer...
Sustain events should be passed via Midi Thru from Digitakt to any other connected device. I suggest sticking to standard DIN Midi cables and use a splitter such as the Kenton Thru 5, or larger if you have more devices..
Thank you! I was getting frustrated trying to get my Virus Ti Snow work with my Digitakt. I was originally trying to set everything up using Multimode and getting lots of problems. This setup worked perfectly.
I had a follow up question. I'm experiencing issues when switching patterns on the Digitakt. I find that the Virus doesn't change the patches on each channel until it hears a note and sometimes, even after the patch changes, it pulls up the wrong patch. This issue has got me rethinking the idea of setting up all of the patches in Multi mode. Have you had any of these issues with your setup?@@Hut-181
@@hosedog99 Hi. This is an interesting question and it is not something I have tried yet. I am away from the studio for the next couple of weeks, but I will give it a go when I can. In the meantime, have you experimented with program change instructions over midi?
I ended up speaking with the guys at Virus support. It seems that it's a known issue with lots of synths. I did some testing and I've found the Multi mode to be more stable. @@Hut-181
Fumbles? I don't think it matters as an improvisation that is how it is......... leave it, art is never really finished anyhow. A new version would only be a copy.
Nice one Hut. Keep up the good work, it would be nice to hear more of what you can do. It's great to see some love for Gestrument. I feel this tremendously capable app has been neglected in recent years. Going to get mine going later.
hi! loved that. had a question im looking to buy this keyboard but im confused should i buy digital piano or this midi keyboard , since it has weighted hammer action and many many sound options it looks better deal than a digital piano. btw im okay with using it with a DAW, i mostly use pro tools and Ableton live.
A digital piano will be much more expensive, but will give you a more authentic playing experience for the reasons you have stated. And yes, you will still be able to play into a DAW over midi. I do that as well with a Clavinova. The Keylab I still use for jamming in the studio, because it’s on the rack with my other synths and is permanently cabled into the midi hub
@@ajaysawant5391 I have never tried the Roland pianos, but I understand they are very good. I am familiar with the Yamaha CVP and CLP ranges - both excellent. A friend of mine has a Kawai digital piano and says that it’s also really good, with authentic key action.
Omg. I just went back and tried it again. I’m Colourblind and never noticed it was changing colour.. and because I was holding the note down with my finger, I just assumed the hold wasn’t working. I can see the colour change now (just) and I feel like an idiot. Thank you! 😁
Same issue with the MIDI connection settings in the left-hand menu. I’ve just noticed that they are changing colour but I have to really stare at it up close to notice any perceptible colour change. Under normal usage they are all the same and it feels like the thing isn’t working.
Wow. Nice one. Are you running midi into the Virus Access from the Digitakt? I'm having a hard time sequencing it. Can't wait to get it up and running with the Digitakt.
It's kind of you to say that. It's just one of my improvisations. The full version will be on a piano album which I'm planning to release later this year.
@@Hut-181 Dawless for live! 🤛🖤I've got the Circuit Rhythm and Tracks nearly a year and really love these buddies. Risk a look at my channel for maybe some inspiration if you dare. 😜 There is a lot of creative dawless stuff 2 discover. Beats and greetz from Germany! 🤖
Amazing job on this patch! GREAT job. I am still trying to figure out what how to use most of these modules. Thanks for sharing. Provides a lot of inspiration into the possibilities of Bespoke and its potential. How long did it take to pull together this patch (concept-to-final)? Thx!
Thanks Luke. Really kind of you. I was learning as I went. I also lost quite a lot of time when I found that the majority of my saved versions would crash on load, so had to rebuild a big chunk of it. I guess total time spent was about 18 hours.
