Quite an undertaking and can't believe you knocked it out in 10 days. Like to see the route and how you cut it off..We did Tellico plains to port Orford and it was like 5800 miles...
I am in NC and 77 years old...i like to play this when day is done and i am on the porch with a jack n ginger highball...and yes it always clears out my eyes
So sad they don’t play this anymore. I’m glad I got to experience in person but I was too young to fully appreciate it. Now if I have kids, they won’t ever get to experience this
@@diamondbanana-pl2435 Being a southerner in the United States is it's own culture. One does not have to be a racists or want slavery to love the South, though the rest of the world seems to think so. I am offended that From Dixie With Love is seen as problematic when in fact is is a blending of the battle songs from North and South, a try at healing the division that once existed. Banning a song, tearing down monuments and yes, hating our culture, does nothing. We will continue to love Dixie. When I was in the army we had a black guy in our platoon with a Confederate flag tattoo on his arm. When I asked why he looked at me astonished and said "Because I'm from Georgia".
The reason for Lincoln's Invasion of Dixie was to reclaim *REVENUE TAX MONEY* lost in the legal secession of the Southern States. Six days after South Carolina legally seceded, the US Army invaded Ft Sumter at night! Taking up a position in the shipping harbor of Charleston, the US Army would be sure to collect its REVENUE! The free, independent, sovereign country of South Carolina refused to back down and demanded the US to remove their invasion force. Once the US forces evacuated Ft Sumter, without a loss of life, Lincoln issued the following Presidential Proclamations. Lincoln's Presidential Proclamation NO. 81, April 19 1861, five days after the Union evacuation of Ft Sumter. "Whereas an insurrection against the Government of the United States has broken out in the States of South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas, and the laws of the United States *FOR THE COLLECTION OF THE REVENUE (TAX MONEY)* can not be effectually executed therein conformably to that provision of the Constitution *WHICH REQUIRES DUTIES (REVENUE TAX MONEY) TO BE UNIFORM THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES;* ......" Lincoln's Presidential Proclamation NO. 82, April 27 1861 (after more Southern States secede due to the Union invasion of Ft Sumter) "Whereas since that date, public property of the United States has been seized, *THE COLLECTION OF THE REVENUE (TAX MONEY) OBSTRUCTED,* and,,,,,," Crittenden-Johnson Resolution issued by the US House of Representatives, 25 July, 1861 (four days after the defeat of the invading US Army at Manassas, VA "Bull Run"). "Resolved by the House of Representatives of the Congress of the United States, That the present deplorable civil war has been forced upon the country by the disunionists of the Southern States now in revolt against the constitutional Government and in arms around the capital; that in this national emergency Congress, banishing all feelings of mere passion or resentment, *WILL RECOLLECT ONLY ITS DUTY (REVENUE TAX MONEY) TO THE WHOLE COUNTRY;* that this war is not waged upon our part in any spirit of oppression, nor for any purpose of conquest or subjugation, *NOR PURPOSE OF OVERTHROWING OR INTERFERING WITH THE RIGHTS OR ESTABLISHED "INSTITUTIONS" (such as slavery) OF THOSE STATES,* but to defend and maintain the supremacy of the Constitution and to *PRESERVE THE UNION (TREASURY),* with all the dignity, equality, and rights of the several States unimpaired; and that as soon as these objects are accomplished the war ought to cease. The Confederate States of America (1861-1865) started with an agrarian-based economy that relied heavily on slave-worked plantations for the production of cotton for export to Europe. *IF CLASSED AS AN INDEPENDENT COUNTRY,* the area of the Confederate States would have ranked as the *FOURTH-RICHEST COUNTRY OF THE WORLD IN 1860."* (Wikipedia: Economy of the Confederate States of America).
I'm from Indiana. I don't know why this song makes me tear up. It's so beautiful it's magical. It's too bad I will never get the chance to hear this live. Sad.
The song "Power" is played as the football team entrance piece just prior to kick-off for the AGGIES (Texas A&M Univ.) at Kyle Field. Some are claiming.."yeah, it's racially slurred and profane, but we don't sing the lyrics...". What if the song contained lyrics promoting cop killing? Or encouraged the resumption of slavery? But were not voiced of course...Would the song remain acceptable? Others have suggested it's OK for a person of color to use these shameful and hurtful slurs...is this not racist in itself? That's a confusing and dangerous road to take. It's not OK. Would Dr. King give his approval? Regardless, the extreme profanity in the song's lyrics should make the decision much easier. IMO, when the song was selected, someone dropped the ball here regarding the song's selection. It's tradition now, but does that make it any less toxic and inappropriate? Google the lyrics...you'll be shocked. Would there be any negative consequences if another song, lyrically devoid of racial slurs and profanity was chosen as a replacement? A&M has an optimal opportunity here at becoming part of the answer, not the problem.
It’s so nice to see my dad, Gator, doing what he loved ❤️ gettin bit by that damn gator! RIP 2015 Bart. So glad you got this video! Wishin there was more of him!
Cancel Culture started well before it became popular today! I hate to say it but it’s never going to end until somebody finally says no, We will not stop because it’s not racist and never will be. The greatest part of America is our diversity and this is what makes us all great. Not the, I’m offended crowd, who want everything their way. How boring!! In the south it’s about respect, and we want everyone to be successful and enjoy southern hospitality. Period! Sad tradition is not allowed to bring us together only from those who want to divide us. 😔
Nice looking bike, although the colour isn't right, should be Bantam mist green or black. The rear guard looks very suspect and the headlamp is wrong, Later Bantams had two chrome strips running down the seams of the tank not a chrome strip and it doesn't have the correct choke/air breather on the carb.
Imagine that with 2 138cc piston displacement it equals out to 276 CC I bet it probably produces pretty close to 7 horsepower so I bet it could probably cruise at about comfortably 50 miles per hour.
It's a tough loss and has taken a decade to see how the enemies weapons of identity politics, political correctness and cancel culture have gutted our freedom of speech, beliefs and pride. We can't keep letting our values be trampled while we politely bend to pressure playing against our peaceful nature! Remember honor, strength and unity, proud heritage!
Honda have a regular flatplane inline 4 like all cars who have inline 4 engines, so yamaha it is unique in all world or inline 4 engine. It is i think a small company in germany who make also a bike with crossplane inline 4 engine but not reprezentative.... like i say it is no car who have inline 4 and crossplane crank...
Hi you all have you never seen a Bantam B1 before, why horse dip with funny headlamp an English man sold it me only £18000 I reckon it was a bargain as he said there was only one made
I will never forgive them for tearing down Confederate monuments and I blame nicki haley for giving rise to the anti southern movement....my heart will always belong to Dixie.
