I will say there is a quality discrepancy between the tapeless build vs original tape use build. Its noticeable when comparing between both using a VX1000 and for me personally while tapes are expensive and less convenient I appreciate the novelty of them but I do have an old canon GL2 that I might convert to tapeless cause the playback feature is broken.
This is fantastic !!! And those Sony batteries are alien tech. The one I have still holds a charge no problem even after 30 years and sitting in a closet for a decade. It’s wild. I love how Sony never changed it.
I have a Sony Handycam DCR-TRV130 would it still be compatible with this device? There's no red, white, yellow inputs on this camera so how would I go about connect this devise to my camera if it does work?
I do not have that on my camera either I used this cable. amzn.to/47MWEYx I have an updated video as well. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kuL9HwFvv_E.html I am making another updated video testing all the recorders dropping OCT 1st
Love these type of packs! thanks, I'm definitely going to be buying the full thing soon!!! 🎥🎬 Hey Tyler can you tell me the newest packs released most recently. I have almost every one from the site but without going through each one I'm not sure which ones I still need. Any way you can make a tab on the site with the last few newest released FX packs or just list them here ? thank you, cheers!
3:27 there's a quite a bit more detail in the S-Video footage, and that's on top of the lower quality deinterlacing that was used. But I'm guessing the record does that automatically. It would be cool if there was a record that could capture straight-up NTSC 60i footage.
duplicate clip above original, desaturate, Levels- crush blacks and bloom lights, nest it, change mode to Lighten, Screen or Add and add whatever blur you want. Ride the opacity to increase or decrease effect.
Just don't confuse interlacing artifacts with the "vhs look". That artifact was never visible on a CRT display back in the day because those displays were interlaced. So please, decomb your video. The feathering is not an authentic part of the look. It's just an artifact created when playing interlaced video on a digital progressive display. Feathering doesn't look vintage of genuine, it just looks horrible. So, keep the VHS esthetic but decomb the video.
@@TylerCaseyProd Yes, of course. But proliferating that look would be a shame because it's easy to remedy with a simple bob deinterlace when you make a video. Just saying, that artifact was not present in vhs and it's ugly. If you are going for the VHS vibe then just do a fast deinterlace and you're good. If you don't it sticks out like a sore thumb and people who watched VHS back in the day will notice. Makes it look more like the red whatever filter you mention in the video. 😉 Deinterlacing is fast easy and available. Use it and get 100% of the look instead of 90% 🙂
Amazing. Thank you! This is exactly what I needed. Just doing this build currently. Thank you. Out of interest, what power bank did you use, do I need a specific mAh battery pack to power the clear click? Thanks in advance!
@@Lo.ftRecordings-swansea thanks for watching! Check out my updated video for a more compact set up ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kuL9HwFvv_E.htmlsi=csvmX1ACstXOHihR
@@TylerCaseyProd thanks, and sorry dumb question but do I need to connect an audio cable from my camera to the power play or does if record it automatically?
@@sandrudescombes3259 make sure you have the feeds going the right way. HDMI to AV Then the Video going into glitch FX on the left side Video OUT going to tv
I wonder how it would turn out with my old Canon Vm-E2n 1987 vintage old school camcorder with additional lenses??.Its still in great shape and had the battery reconditioned. Great video but sorry NOT a tech guy sadly.
Those USB composite capture dongles also degrade the source quality horrendously. Analog tape formats are already "aesthetic"...you wanna work with as pure a capture as possible. Usually. - Johnny
Ain't no way they charge you 15$ for those phone fisheyes lens, maybe it's different where you live but i can buy those same lens for a tiny bit over 1$
I have my old TRV900 that i'm running the clear click on it. I think you definitely lose some quality with the clear click but I don't really mind it as it gives me a more rugged "90s" look to it in my opinion.
